The 01/27 episode of Red Brand is the go-home show for Royal Rumble PLE

The 01/27 episode of Monday Night Raw will air live from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The episode is the go-home show for the upcoming Royal Rumble PLE.

Two matches along with the traditional Royal Rumble match in both divisions are set for the show which will emanate from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on February 1.

Storylines have reached its boiling point as the first PLE of 2025 approaches, the show will also feature developments from the January 25 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. Let us now take a look at the top five WWE storylines you should watch out for this Monday night’s show.

5. WWE World Tag Team Championship Match

WWE World Tag Team Champions Erik and Ivar (War Raiders) will defend their tag titles against The Judgment Day (JD McDonagh & Dominik Mysterio) on the go-home show.

Mysterio is rising up to the occasion in the absence of Finn Balo, his stablemate from the faction. War Raiders last month defeated Balor and McDonagh to become the new champions. McDonagh and Mysterio are looking to win the title back by any means. It will be interesting to see how Mysterio and McDonagh perform in the absence of Balor.

4. Logan Paul returns

Former United States Champion Logan Paul was absent from WWE programming since his title loss to LA Knight at SummerSlam 2024 PLE. The Maverick made an appearance on the Raw Netflix kick-off show last month and joined the Red brand.

Paul also appeared during the Raw Netflix debut show, he is now set to make his in-ring return on the 01/27 show. The Maverick has already stated his intentions of fighting for the title and dethrone the current World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. Fans would have to wait till Monday 8/7c to witness who he targets in his return.

3. Drew McIntyre – Seth Rollins

On last week’s episode, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins locked horns in the main event of the show in a rematch from WrestleMania 40. Rollins was able to roll up McIntyre into a cover and pick up the win. However, McIntyre launched an assault on Rollins after the match.

Sami Zayn rushed in to help Rollins and attacked McIntyre, but Drew slowly gained the upper hand and took Sami down. McIntyre then turned his focus to Rollins, and when Zayn went for the Helluva Kick, McIntyre ducked causing Rollins to get hit instead.

While McIntyre will be irked by two back-to-back roll-up losses, Rollins too would demand an answer from Zayn for the attack.

2. Royal Rumble build-up

As mentioned earlier, the Royal Rumble PLE is just days away, and the go-home show of the Red brand will be used to hype up matches and build storylines further which will culminate at the Lucas Oil Stadium.

More superstars will announce their entry into the Rumble match, Cody Rhodes is also set for an appearance and will likely cut a promo for his upcoming defense against Kevin Owens. Roman Reigns will also be in the building for his victory celebrations and we might get a face-off between the two.

1. Roman Reigns’ acknowledgement ceremony

After reclaiming the Ula Fala in his dominant win over Solo Sikoa in the debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix, Roman Reigns restored order and regained the seat at the High Table. After winning the tribal combat match in a backstage segment, Paul Heyman asked his Tribal Chief about the acknowledgement ceremony to which Reigns replied ‘January 27’.

Heyman will likely hold an acknowledgement ceremony for ‘The OTC’ on this week’s episode of the Red brand. Reigns has also announced his entry into the 2025 Rumble match and will likely cut a promo detailing his plans ahead for the title and the Bloodline.

Who do you think will emerge victorious in the World Tag Team title clash? What does the future hold for Roman Reigns and who will Logan Paul target in his return? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
