Five storylines to watch on WWE RAW: Jey Uso's dark side; final showdown before Wrestlepalooza (September 15, 2025)

This week’s WWE Raw will have a special start time!

The upcoming September 15 episode of Monday Night Raw will serve as the go-home show for Wrestlepalooza 2025 and will feature a final face-off before the finale on Saturday. Apart from the face-off, a singles match and an appearance from John Cena is set for the show.

This week’s show is set to air live from the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. The show will have an early start time of 7 PM ET/ 4 PM PT; in fact, the remaining shows this month will all have an early start time of 7 PM.

Multiple top names, including John Cena, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Rhea Ripley, and Jey Uso, are being advertised for the show. Ahead of this week’s show from Springfield, here are the top five storylines for the September 8 episode of WWE Raw.

5. Unhinged Asuka

The drama involving Asuka and Rhea Ripley has been getting intense, with not just Iyo Sky but Nikki Bella in the mix. In the backdrop of a feud between Asuka and Ripley, the two stars once again came to a near-clash in a backstage segment where Ripley came to Bella’s defense, while Asuka was taunting her for the loss earlier in last week’s show.

Fans have also been speculating a turn for Kairi Sane amid teases for Asuka’s heel turn, and we might get another trailer for the same this week.

4. AJ Styles on the hunt again

AJ Styles was angry ahead of his last week’s clash against El Grande Americano, who cost AJ the Intercontinental title match against Dominik Mysterio. Styles also went off on the WWE brass, stating that ‘someone didn’t want him there.’

On the other hand, Dominik has captured the AAA Mega title to become a double Champion. This is likely going to irk Styles even more, and we might see the two stars run back the match one more time.

3. Lyra Valkyria vs Judgment Day

After suffering defeat last week against one member of the Judgment Day, Lyra Valkyria is set to battle another Judgment Day member in Roxanne Perez. Lyra’s beef with the Judgment Day started in a backstage segment on the September 1 show, where she asked GM Adam Pearce to face any one of the two members of the Judgment Day.

After losing against Raquel Rodriguez, she will now battle Perez this Monday. Lyra now has the chance to get some payback on Perez, as the latter was in part responsible for Lyra losing last week.

2. Final showdown ahead of Wrestlepalooza

AJ Lee wasted no time going after Becky Lynch upon her return two weeks ago, avenging the disrespect shown to her husband, CM Punk. Following her return, Lee made an appearance last week on Raw and was confronted by Lynch and Seth Rollins, before CM Punk came out to attack Rollins.

The two real-life couples are now set to collide on the upcoming PLE. Ahead of the mixed tag team match, the two teams will come face-to-face on the go-home show this week.

1. Jey Uso’s dark side

During last week’s Raw, both Jey Uso and LA Knight turned down the idea of teaming up to take down Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker, which was proposed by Jimmy Uso. However, when push came to shove, Knight stood with The Usos, and they took down the Bron Brons successfully.

However, Jey out of nowhere blasted Knight with a vicious spear to end the show, while Jimmy looked concerned. Many fans have speculated a potential heel turn for Jey. Whether it’s a heel turn or just Jey following on Roman Reigns’ advice and doing what’s right for him.
