The Women’s Tag Team titles will be contested this Tuesday!
The September 16 special episode of NXT Homecoming is set to air live from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. With NXT Homecoming set for this Tuesday, anticipation is running high that this event will once again showcase why NXT is so beloved.
Multiple top names, also from the main rosters, are set for an appearance on the show, including Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Stephanie Vaquer, Grayson Waller, Lyra Valkyria, and Johnny Gargano, among others.
The September 9 edition of NXT set the stage perfectly, delivering surprises that reminded fans of the brand’s unpredictability. One of the standout moments came when Fatal Influence, Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx were confronted by three former NXT champions, Stephanie Vaquer, Tiffany Stratton, and Rhea Ripley.
This clash of eras highlighted what makes NXT’s women’s division such a consistent strength. Week after week, the brand shines a spotlight on its female roster, crafting layered rivalries and giving multiple contenders a platform to thrive. It’s a commitment that has made NXT the best representation of women’s wrestling in North America.
Per GM Ava, Tiffany Stratton is not medically cleared to compete in the six-woman tag match following her recent WWE Women’s Championship match on SmackDown. Lyra Valkyria will replace her in the sxi-woman tag team match.
The surprises didn’t stop there. Tyler Breeze made a shocking return, selfie stick in hand, to set his sights on Ethan Page and the North American Championship. Meanwhile, Carmelo Hayes returned to stand by Trick Williams against DIY, a reunion that carries unfinished business and teases a deeper story still to come.
Additionally, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair will take on the #1 Contenders, Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame, in their second title defense.
With these twists setting the tone, NXT Homecoming promises to be more than nostalgia. It’s a celebration of NXT’s past, present, and future, as WWE’s most creative brand continues to shape what comes next.
