All superstars confirmed for WWE NXT New Year’s Evil (January 7, 2025)

The fifth edition of WWE NXT New Year’s Evil features exciting matchups

The Stamford-based promotion is all ready for the fifth edition of New Year’s Evil which is scheduled for January 7, 2025, at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California. This is the first NXT show to use the WWE branding.  

The program will be telecasted live as a special episode of the promotion’s weekly television series NXT. A total of five matches have been scheduled for the show, including three title clashes, a #1 Contender’s Match for the NXT Women’s North American Championship, and a six-woman tag team match.

NXT Champion Trick Williams will defend his title in a triple-threat match against Oba Femi and Eddy Thorpe. While NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez will defend her title against Giulia at the Shrine Expo Hall.

Cora Jade, Stephanie Vaquer, Lola Vice, and Kelani Jordan will compete for the opportunity to challenge Fallon Henley for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. All four wrestlers are vying for a chance to claim the #1 Contender’s spot for the NXT Women’s North American Championship.

Lexis King will defend the NXT Heritage Cup against Charlie Dempsey and the Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx) will take on the team of Gigi Dolin, Shotzi & Tatum Paxley in a six-woman tag match.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is also scheduled to make an appearance on the show, the announcement was made by him backstage during his return at the historic debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix.
