These superstars can shock the wrestling world with their returns at the PLE.

The Clash at the Castle, an important event in the WWE calendar, is set to bring all the major storylines to a head. While only one match has been confirmed for the PLE-Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Pirest for the World Heavyweight Title, anticipation for more is palpable.

Yet, it’s not just the scheduled matches that have fans buzzing. The possibility of the return of their beloved wrestlers to the squared circle is also an exciting thought for the wrestling faithful. Let’s delve into the speculation and excitement surrounding five wrestlers who could make their long-awaited comebacks in Scotland.

5. Giovanni Vinci

Giovanni Vinci, a name that has been absent from WWE programming since the brutal attack by his then Imperium teammate Ludwig Kaiser in April, has been drafted to SmackDown in the annual draft. This sets the stage for a potential showdown with Gunther, his former Imperium leader.

Could Vinci’s return at the PLE be the spoiler in the party for Gunther? ‘The Ring General looks set for a King of The Ring final rematch against Randy Orton. The uncertainty of Vinci’s return and the potential storyline it could create adds a layer of intrigue to the upcoming event.

4. Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss has been among the flagbearers of the women’s revolution in WWE and is regarded as one of the best female talents currently employed by the company. ‘Miss Bliss’ last appeared in the 2023 Royal Rumble PLE, where she challenged the women’s champion at the time, Bianca Belair. She has been on a personal break since then and even became a mother during this period.

Having spent considerable time away from action, the former women’s champion’s return looks imminent. Bliss returning at the Clash at the Castle PLE could help strengthen the women’s division, which has been rendered somewhat weak by Rhea Ripley’s injury and Becky Lynch’s precarious contract situation.

3. Jimmy Uso

Jimmy Uso was banished from ‘The Bloodline’ faction after a brutal beatdown at the hands of Solo Sikoa and a debuting Tama Tonga. It has almost been three months since the ghastly attack took place.

The Sikoa run stable looks highly likely to lock horns with the duo of Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in Glasgow. A surprise return from Uso at the event to haunt his brothers cannot be ruled out.

2. Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns was at the top of the WWE pinnacle for an earth-shattering 1316 days. He has earned a break after spending such a long time in the main event picture. Reigns was last seen in his epic encounter with Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL PLE. In his absence, his beloved Bloodline stable has been forcibly taken over by his cousin Solo Sikoa.

The fans have demanded ‘The Tribal Chief’s’ return, as is apparent by the constant ‘We Want Roman’ chants. Could the former Shield member send shockwaves through the wrestling world with a return at Clash of The Castle? Fans would certainly love it if it happened.

1. Uncle Howdy

The sinister associate of the late great Bray Wyatt has not been seen on WWE programming since last year. However, his comeback is all but confirmed with the cryptic QR codes appearing on both RAW and SmackDown for months.

The QR codes lead to coded messages and sometimes bizarre footage. Many believe Howdy is at the helm of all these secret messages. It feels like a matter of time before he finally reappears in a WWE ring. What better way to spring a comeback than at an International PLE when the whole world is watching?

It remains to be seen whether any of these wrestlers can spring a surprise by returning at the Clash at the Castle PLE. One thing is for sure: an appearance by one or more of these superstars would send WWE fans into a frenzy.
