Jey Uso was attacked backstage during the 12/2 episode of WWE Raw
‘Main Event’ Jey Uso was attacked backstage just before the main event clash between Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn on the 12/2 episode of WWE Raw. The 12/2 fallout episode from the final PLE of the Red brand aired live from the Angel of the Winds Arena, Everett, Washington, U.S.A.
Jey was attacked when Cathy Kelley was interviewing Pete Dunne about his upcoming clash with R-Truth on the 12/2 show. Here we take a look at four potential assailants behind the vicious attack on the former Intercontinental Champion.
4. Bronson Reed
‘Big’ Bronson Reed joined the rogue Bloodline as their fifth member for the WarGames clashes against Roman Reigns and company at the Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver, Canada.
Reed is known for his ruthlessness and his backstage brawls be it against Braun Strowman or his infamous feud and brawls with Seth Rollins.
Bronson could be the mastermind behind the attack on the former IC Champion. Still seething from their WarGames loss, Reed may have targeted the former Intercontinental Champion to send a menacing message to the OG Bloodline faction.
3. Solo Sikoa
Another potential suspect is the Tribal Chief of the Bloodline, Solo Sikoa who led the rogue faction which consisted of Bronson Reed along with the Bloodline members in the WarGames.
Sikoa’s night at Survivor Series went from bad to worse, as he not only suffered a crushing defeat but also fell victim to a brutal beatdown at the hands of the OG faction, who capped off their dominant victory with their signature finishing move.
Solo is not someone who takes losses lightly and this might have fueled the anger as he attacked Jey backstage as the Usos reunion helped Roman Reigns and undermine Sikoa’s authority. The attack would also weaken Reigns’ support and will isolate him further making things easier for Solo.
2. Seth Rollins
‘The Visionary’ Seth Rollins has some harsh words for Jey Uso during his scuffle with CM Punk in the 12/2 episode. Jey and Sami tried to diffuse the situation between Rollins and Punk as they clashed in the ring.
The Visionary yelled at Jey to run to Roman Reigns like he always did, but Zayn who is in the ring responded quickly and the two got into a war of words leading to their clash in the main event.
Shortly after the attack, Sami began to suspect Rollins’ role in the incursion. However, Seth briskly denied these allegations during their main event clash urging Zayn to use his head and think rationally. Rollins also pointed to CM Punk as the potential culprit.
This seems like a diversion tactic by Rollins as he might be the assailant behind the assault. Rollins’ visible frustration with the OG faction aligning with CM Punk for WarGames might be the underlying reason for the attack.
1. Drew McIntyre
‘The Scottish Psychopath’ Drew McIntyre made his surprising return on this week’s episode during the closing moments of the show and attacked Sami Zayn. The Scottish Psychopath took out Zayn with a claymore following his main event clash with Seth Rollins.
Drew‘s uncalled attack in his return after Bad Blood 2024 has raised suspicion that he might be the one behind the attack on the former IC Champion.
Following the attack, The former multi-time champion made it clear via his social media that he is back to remind everyone that he’s one of the most dominant forces in wrestling.
Who do you believe was actually behind the attack on Jey Uso is it between these four stars or someone else entirely? What would be the motive behind such an attack? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comment section.
