The Miz is an eight-time Intercontinental Champion.

A surprising statistic about The Miz’s in-ring performance has come to light, reflecting one of the most unusual stretches in the veteran’s nearly two-decade WWE career.

During the January 12, 2026 episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, hosts Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer discussed WWE SmackDown’s upcoming qualifying matches when Alvarez revealed a staggering number.

“Fun fact, The Miz has not won a singles match in 23 months.”

He continued, “His last win was in February of 2024… was his last singles win.”

The revelation shocked many fans, but the deeper context paints a clearer picture of modern WWE’s use of The A-Lister. While his losing streak is significant, it aligns with his evolving role as a character, antagonist, gatekeeper, and multi-platform brand representative.

The Miz on a 23-month losing streak

The Miz’s last televised singles victory occurred on February 5, 2024, when he defeated JD McDonagh on WWE Monday Night Raw. He had also beaten McDonagh earlier that year on January 8. After those two wins, his record sharply declined, with no further singles victories across 2024, 2025, or early 2026.

Throughout late 2025, The Miz recorded several high-profile losses. He fell to Joe Hendry in a Miracle on 34th Street Fight on December 19 and lost to Je’Von Evans one week earlier. His 2026 began similarly, with back-to-back defeats to United States Champion Carmelo Hayes during WWE’s Holiday Live Tour.

The A-Lister also competed in November 2025’s Last Time Is Now Tournament, but he was eliminated in the first round by Jey Uso. Though he has picked up intermittent tag-team victories, they do little to offset his prolonged singles slump. In 2026, The Miz is currently 3-0, losing all the matches he has been part of. All his matches came on house shows, where he was defeated by Carmelo Hayes for the US Title.

The Miz is still WWE’s go-to media person

Despite the losing streak, The Miz remains one of WWE’s most dependable antagonists. He is renowned for generating “heat,” delivering top-tier promos, and elevating opponents. WWE has frequently placed him opposite rising stars or dominant champions, most notably against Gunther in 2023 and LA Knight during Knight’s breakout run.

His value extends far beyond wins and losses. The Miz has been one of WWE’s most marketable cross-platform stars for over a decade. He has led reality programming such as Miz & Mrs., hosted NBC’s Cannonball, competed on Dancing With the Stars, and starred in multiple WWE Studios films including The Marine franchise, Christmas Bounty, and Santa’s Little Helper.

In championships alone, he holds a resume few WWE talents can match:

  • Two-time WWE Champion
  • Eight-time Intercontinental Champion
  • Two-time United States Champion
  • Nine-time Tag Team Champion

He is also the only wrestler in WWE history to hold the U.S., World Tag Team, and WWE Tag Team Titles at the same time.

So while The Miz may not be winning matches, his role as a utility player and mainstream ambassador remains unmatched. For WWE, his value, storytelling, character work, and star power go far beyond the win-loss column.

When was The Miz’s last singles victory?

His last televised singles win came on February 5, 2024, against JD McDonagh on Monday Night Raw.

Why has The Miz been losing for nearly two years?

WWE currently uses him as a heel gatekeeper, helping elevate rising stars and champions rather than focusing on his own win streak.
