The Rock has wrestled seven matches since his return to WWE in 2011.
The Rock has become one of the biggest superstars in the world of sports entertainment. ‘The Great One’ was at the top of his wrestling game during his prime in the Attitude Era. Years later, when he made his return to WWE in 2011, The Rock became a part of the company’s modern era.
Since then, ‘The Final Boss’ has been a part of some of the biggest wrestling showdowns of all time. Here are the last seven WWE matches of ‘The Final Boss’:
7. WWE Survivor Series 2011
During his feud with John Cena on the road to WrestleMania 28, the foes teamed up at WWE Survivor Series 2011 to battle The Miz and R-Truth. This was his first match in eight years, and there were no signs of ring rust. Despite his tensions with Cena, they were able to co-exist and emerge victorious, not before The Rock took down Cena with a Rock Bottom at the end.
6. WrestleMania 28
Billed as ‘Once in a Lifetime’, two generations collided in the main event of WrestleMania 28. The two biggest stars of WWE, The Rock and John Cena, squared off in a mega showdown in front of The Great One’s hometown of Miami, Florida. It was one of the greatest matches of all time and ended with The Rock taking advantage of Cena’s overconfidence and nailing him with the ‘Rock Bottom’ to pick up the win.

Despite The Shield’s interference, Vince McMahon restarted the match, leading to The Rock executing the People’s Elbow on Punk to win the WWE title after ten years.
4. Elimination Chamber 2013
In a huge rematch from the Royal Rumble, The Rock made his first WWE title defence against CM Punk, who had stolen the championship shortly after his loss. The People’s Champion went toe-to-toe with The Best in the World and put him down again for the three count to retain his title.
3. WrestleMania 29
John Cena won the 2013 Royal Rumble match to earn himself a main event match at WrestleMania 29 for the WWE Championship. His opponent, the same man who defeated him last year at the event, reigning WWE Champion, The Rock. The blockbuster rematch had even higher stakes than last year and was another great showdown between the two titans. In the end, Cena earned his redemption and defeated The Rock to win the championship.
2. WrestleMania 32
The Rock made a special appearance at WrestleMania 32, which set the record for the most event attendees in the show’s history. The Great One created a record of his own by defeating Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan in three seconds, which was the record for the shortest WWE match in history.
1. WrestleMania 40
The Rock made his return to in-ring action eight years after his last match at WrestleMania 32. He teamed up with his cousin, Roman Reigns, to battle Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night 1. The Final Boss did not seem to have lost a step and displayed his excellent in-ring prowess. Moreover, it was The Rock who secured the pinfall for his team by dropping Cody Rhodes with a Rock Bottom, followed by a thunderous ‘People’s Elbow’.
