The Undertaker has been away from in-ring action for over four years since 2020

The Undertaker is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, who has been the icon of the industry. The phenom had a long wrestling career of more than three decades (33 years) and has been one of the top of the card throughout the journey. The Phenom had everything that a wrestler could ever dream of in his career.

He is one of the most popular wrestlers with a great fan base across the world, despite being a horrifying and dark character. He had his last match in 2020 and got inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2022. Taker appears occasionally on WWE television and has been away from in-ring action for over 4 years. However, Taker hints at one last match in a recent interview.

The Undertaker wants one-last match

The Undertaker recently appeared for an interview on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast. During the interview, Logan Paul asked The Phenom if he wished to have one final match to end his in-ring career. To which, Taker responded positively saying that he indeed is looking for a last match to end his career.

The Undertaker said

“That is what I was looking for. Yeah, just to put the exclamation point on the career. I wanted to have that one match that I could hang my hat on and say goodbye.”

Taker continued saying that he appeared on the shows after his retirement, however, his inner feelings say that he still has one match in him and people are gonna say “wow” for his match.

Undertaker said,

“I will come to the shows and I will say hello, and I’ll talk to some of the guys. Maybe watch a couple of the matches, but then I’ve got to leave. It is still in my body, my mindset is like, ‘Dude, you should be getting ready right now.’ That part in your head that has gotten you this far says you still got one in you somewhere. You got one match and people are gonna go ‘wow’.”

The Deadman had his last match at WrestleMania 36, where he faced AJ Styles in a cinematic style Boneyard match. In June 2020, on the Undertaker: The Last Ride documentary, he announced his retirement from his in-ring career and he confirmed it in November 2020 in an interview.
