Roman Reigns will have to fight for his family

Roman Reigns has made his much-awaited return to the WWE after being away since WrestleMania 40, attacking Solo Sikoa and inadvertently helping Cody Rhodes retain the WWE Undisputed Championship in the main event of SummerSlam 2024.

He has been on and off SmackDown ever since, showing up now and then to either beat up or get beaten up by the new Bloodline with Solo Sikoa as the leader. It has recently been confirmed in the Smackdown Premier on the USA Network that Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will be facing Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match at Bad Blood.

However, I think I speak for everyone when I say Cody Rhodes doesn’t belong in this story and should just focus on having important rivalries for the Undisputed Championship outside the Bloodline while Roman Reigns handles the family business.

And since we are talking about family business, it would be an impossible task for Roman Reigns to handle all of it by himself. And with Survivor Series now almost around the corner, the timing is perfect to get the original Bloodline together.

So, here are 4 things that Roman Reigns can do in kayfabe to get the old Bloodline together:

Reunite with Paul Heyman

The Wiseman, Paul Heyman, is a vital component of Roman Reigns’ Tribal Chief gimmick. After being brutally beaten by the new Bloodline for refusing to acknowledge Solo Sikoa as the Tribal Chief, Paul Heyman was written off television.

It would make sense from a storyline perspective that Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman have been secretly working together, strategizing to even the odds against the new Bloodline. Roman Reigns needs to reach out to Paul Heyman first, as his guidance and expertise will be instrumental in reuniting the old Bloodline.

Reunite with Jimmy Uso

Following Roman Reigns’ loss at WrestleMania 40, Jimmy Uso was kicked out of the new Bloodline faction by Solo Sikoa, who replaced him with Tama Tonga. Jimmy Uso has unfinished business with his brother Solo Sikoa, and his return will undoubtedly be fueled by a desire for revenge against Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa.

Also, Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso don’t really have a problem between them at the moment, even though they might not have always seen eye to eye; he was still in Roman’s corner at WrestleMania, so it would only make sense for the two of them to reunite to fight off these new versions of the Bloodline.

Make Amends to Fix His Relationship with Jey Uso

This is where things get complicated from a storyline standpoint. After everything that has transpired between the Bloodline in the past, why would Jey Uso want to help Roman Reigns or Jimmy Uso, considering they have consistently tried to hold him back and drag him down? The only plausible reason is that, in the end, it’s his family – his blood.

Paul Heyman, the Wiseman, might play a crucial role in convincing Jey Uso to return and help his brother and cousin in their fight against the new Bloodline.

As Jey Uso witnesses his family being brutally victimized weekly owing to the numbers game being in favor of Solo Sikoa, his brotherly instincts will eventually kick in, prompting him to make the save.

Bring Back The Honorary Uce

For Jey Uso, it’s at least his family, but for Sami Zayn, that argument doesn’t hold water. However, Roman Reigns did let Sami Zayn into his family, making him relevant as part of the Bloodline, and Sami Zayn repaid that debt in full effect too by helping the Bloodline secure crucial victories on several occasions before everything eventually fell apart.

Currently, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn are part of the Red Brand, pursuing singles championships, but their quest doesn’t seem to be yielding success. This opens the door for Sami Zayn to be involved in the Bloodline storyline, further evening the odds in Roman Reigns’ favor.

The Wiseman, Paul Heyman, might again play a significant role in convincing Sami Zayn, or it might come down to Sami’s loyalty to Jey Uso, whom he considers a real brother.

If Jey Uso decides to help Roman Reigns and is brutally victimized in the process by the New Bloodline who would still have the numbers game in their favor, Sami Zayn might come out to make the save, not for Roman Reigns, but for his brother, Jey Uso.

This is one of the ways to make it make sense from a storyline point of view, but what WWE has in their minds might be somewhat similar or it might also be a lot different; only time will tell. Let’s just hope they acknowledge the past instead of just teaming them up completely, ignoring the history.
