With so much bad blood between the two fierce rivals, it’ll be interesting to watch them gang up against a common enemy.

What’s more interesting is what could be the long-term impact of this surprising alliance. Here, we take a look at the top five things that could happen due to Cody Rhodes teaming up with Roman Reigns.

5. The ego between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes could cost them the match

Although a common enemy has temporarily united Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, it’s no secret that the two do not like each other.

It just feels like a matter of time before the massive egos of both superstars come into play. If that happens, the unlikely duo could end up tasting defeat at the hands of The New Bloodline.

The Solo Sikoa-led stable would look to exploit any weaknesses that the team of Reigns and Rhodes could have. Hence, the former and current world champions must stay on the same page.

4. Rhodes and Reigns work as a team to thwart The New Bloodline

Solo Sikoa has emerged as a sworn enemy not only for Roman Reigns but for Cody Rhodes as well. There couldn’t be anything sweeter for the duo than to exact revenge on The New Bloodline.

Many believe that Cody Rhodes could make for an excellent heel. So far, WWE has resisted the temptation to turn the 39-year-old into a villainous character.

It would make for excellent content if the Stamford-based promotion finally decided to pull the plug on this one.

This would be a classic case of role reversal as it would have Reigns portraying a babyface while The American Nightmare turns to the dark side.

Although it feels like a distant possibility, the wrestling juggernaut may consider it purely on the basis of the obvious shock value of such an earth-shattering turn.
