Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is set to emanate from the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The show will feature the return of Roman Reigns along with the appearance of two superstars from Monday Night Raw, CM Punk and Seth Rollins who will make an appearance to confront Reigns about the attack during the steel cage match on last week’s Raw.

While there are many moving pieces in this feud involving the three top stars and the storyline too can take multiple turns, here we will take a look at the top three things that can happen during the segment tonight on WWE SmackDown.

3. WrestleMania 41 match announcement

Multiple sources have confirmed the plan of a triple-threat match involving Punk, Rollins, and Reigns at the WrestleMania 41 PLE. The return of Reigns and the subsequent attack have seemingly confirmed the promotion’s plans for the three stars. The promotion might use the segment to announce the triple-threat match between the three for WrestleMania 41.

2. Paul Heyman betrays Roman Reigns

‘The Wiseman’ Paul Heyman made his return alongside Roman Reigns on last week’s Raw, where he was seen consoling CM Punk inside the cage, a visual which angered Reigns who then attacked Punk. The promotion seemingly teased Heyman’s turn with the visual and considering Heyman owing Punk a favor after Survivor Series 2024, The Wiseman might choose to leave his OTC and join Punk in his quest to headline WrestleMania.

The return of Roman Reigns and the subsequent attack have left a bad taste in Punk and Rollins‘ mouths who are looking to return the favor tonight, especially Punk who was punished for no fault of his own which will irk him even more and the confrontation will most likely turn into a brawl as the three stars will look to punish each other.
