The King and Queen of the Ring tournament’s second round set to kick off this week

WWE Monday Night Raw on May 13 will include “King and Queen of the Ring” tournament events. The entire fight card includes Gunther, Jey Uso, Ilja Dragunov, Iyo Sky, and Lyra Valkyria.

WWE Raw is taking place in the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. The event will begin at 8 p.m. (ET). WWE Monday Night Raw will feature two important “King of the Ring” events and two “Queen of the Ring” contests.

“King of the Ring” matchups will pit Gunther against Kofi Kingston or Rey Mysterio. In the other match, Jey Uso will face Ilja Dragunov. In the “Queen of the Ring” match, Zoey Stark will face Lyra Valkyria. In another “Queen of the Ring” match, Iyo Sky will face Shayna Bazsler or Zelina Vega.

WWE has booked a number of interesting tournament matches for the show. As this week’s RAW is already packed with exciting matches & segments here we take a look at the top three things to watch out for on this week’s RAW.

Here are three things to watch out for on the latest episode of WWE RAW:

3. Ilja Dragunov can qualify for the semi-finals of the King of the Ring tournament

In the King of the Ring Quarterfinals, ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso will face ‘The Unbesiegbar’ Ilja Dragunov. Both of them played fantastic first-round matches last week and are fully worthy of the berth. Drew McIntyre will most likely intervene throughout the contest.

According to speculation, Drew McIntyre might distract Jey, allowing The Mad Dragon to win and move on to the next round. Remember, Drew attempted to intervene in Jey Uso’s opening round match, but Jey escaped and won the match before intervention.

2. Iyo Sky expected to win against Shayna Baszler

The WWE Queen of the Ring competition resumed during the WWE live event on May 13. In the first round, Shayna Baszler faced Maxxine Dupri. Dupri replaced Zelina Vega when WWE stated that she was not cleared to compete. Baszler won via submission, forcing Dupri to tap out to the Kirifuda Clutch.

The first round of tournament play has now been completed. Shayna Baszler will meet IYO SKY in the quarterfinals on May 13th’s edition of WWE Raw. SKY defeated Natalya in a first-round bout on the May 6 episode of RAW. The competition finals will be held at WWE King & Queen of the Ring.

But the “genius of the sky” is the speculated victor of the tournament so there is no chance she will lose to Baszler.

1. Uncle Howdy tease

We might see a few teases on Uncle Howdy. With speculations around WWE planning to make Uncle Howdy’s debut at the WWE King and Queen of the Ring PPV it will be interesting to see how WWE teases the return of Uncle Howdy and the new “Wyatt Family”.
