The King and Queen of the Ring tournament’s third round set to kick off this week

The May 20, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw will be the final episode for the red-brand before King and Queen of the Ring PLE. The show is all set to be aired live from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, United States. WWE has booked a number of interesting matches and segments, including the Semifinals of the King and Queen of the Ring Tournament.

Since it is being the last Raw before PLE, the final hype for the announced matches will be set through the ongoing storylines, as a showcase of preview. This week’s WWE Raw carries huge anticipation and here are the top three things to watch out for on the three-hour show.

Here are three things to watch out for on the latest episode of WWE RAW:

3. Lyra Valkyria’s first main roster loss

In the Semifinals of the Queen of the Ring tournament, Lyra Valkyria will test her capabilities against the former WWE Champion, IYO SKY. Valkyria debuted just weeks ago in the main roster and has claimed the spot to reach the Semifinals, by defeating some of the best talents in the red brand. However in the Semifinals, there is an even bigger star in her path. It is a must win tournament for IYO SKY, as she hasn’t won anything big since her title loss at WrestleMania.

Considering the current situation and based on speculations, IYO SKY could defeat Valkyria, marking the first major defeat to Lyra in the main roster. IYO getting qualified adds possibilities of reiterating the IYO SKY vs Bianca Belair feud in the tournament finals.

2. Jey Uso could defeat Gunther

In the Semifinals of the King of the Ring tournament, Gunther will be facing Jey Uso, where both will be seeking an opportunity to become the King of the Ring. Both the men had a brief feud on the road to WrestleMania 40, over the Intercontinental title, where Jey was so close from dethroning Gunther before Sami Zayn did.

Jey could pull out an upset, by defeating Gunther cleanly, to become the second wrestler to defeat Gunther in the main roster. If Jey gets qualified for the finals, the possibility of Jey crossing paths with the Bloodline is high, as Tama Tonga is one of the contenders for the crown.

1. Becky Lynch & Liv Morgan could brawl

Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan ahead of their Women’s World Championship match at King and Queen of the Ring PLE. They are likely to have the final confrontation before the match on this week’s Raw. Last week, Liv Morgan attacked Becky Lynch after Becky’s match with Dakota Kai. Liv has been using every small opportunity to strike against Becky.

Since this is being the final Raw before their match, they could hype their feud with a brawl, leading to officials separating each other.
