The /16 episode of Monday Night Raw could feature big brawls!

WWE is all set to host the September 16, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw live from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, United States. This is the first episode of Raw after all three shows came under the USA Network. WWE has booked some of the interesting matches and segments for the show.

Ahead of this week’s show, here we take a look at the top three things to watch out for in the upcoming episode of WWE Raw.

3. New Champions could be crowned

WWE has officially announced that Finn Balor & JD McDonagh will be defending their World Tag Team Championship on the line against The New Day this week on Raw. This is probably the first title defense of Balor and McDonagh as they never defended their title on the line, since winning.

Balor and McDonagh could have outside assistance from the other members of the Judgment Day, however, there is a high chance that Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley interfering during the match, who could potentially screw them to lose their titles as a part of revenge. Since Judgment Day is stuck in a difficult situation, there is an equal chance of losing the title. Will the new champions be crowned? is the one to watch out for.

2. Sami Zayn’s challenge to Gunther

Sami Zayn has been chasing Gunther week after week demanding a World Heavyweight Championship match. However, the Ring General has been declining his challenge claiming that Zayn is not on his level.

Last week, Bret Hart stood in support of Zayn demanding a title shot, which resulted in Gunther and Sami brawling ringside, with Sami dominating the champion until officials separated them. Will Gunther accept Sami’s challenge? Will the brawl again? These are the ones to watch out for.

1. CM Punk returns

CM Punk got brutally assaulted by Drew McIntyre at the Bash in Berlin fall-out episode of Raw, with three Claymore and breaking his bracelet into pieces. The brutal attack resulted in Punk being carried out on a stretcher for medical attention.

Last week on Raw, Drew claimed that Punk could never make his return again, but Adam Pearce announced a Hell in a Cell match between them, based on a wish from Punk to end their chaotic rivalry. As the match is being announced, Punk is announced to make his return this week. What will Punk do this week on Raw? Will Punk seek revenge on Drew before their match? These are the ones to watch out for.
