Thunder Rosa is a former AEW Women’s World Champion.
Thunder Rosa has her eyes set on some of WWE’s biggest stars for potential dream matches. In a recent interview with TimHannRivera, the former AEW Women’s Champion didn’t hold back in sharing her admiration for three WWE Superstars she’d love to face in the ring: Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, and Bayley.
“Another person I would love to wrestle, if I could, is Charlotte Flair,” Rosa said. “She’s an excellent, excellent wrestler. Bianca Belair, I think, has shown tremendous growth in the last two years—her level of wrestling is outstanding.”
Rosa’s list wouldn’t be complete without Bayley, whom she praised both in and out of the ring. “One of the best workers right now is Bayley. I respect Bayley as a person—she’s a wonderful individual who is always so giving to others. I would love to wrestle her.”
Although currently signed with AEW, Thunder Rosa acknowledged the challenges in making these matches happen but hinted at the unpredictability of the wrestling world.
Since joining AEW in 2019, Rosa has built a reputation for delivering some of the best women’s matches in modern wrestling, including her unforgettable Lights Out Match against Britt Baker. However, her ambitions stretch beyond AEW, as she dreams of adding more classics to her portfolio.
Rosa also addressed the state of AEW’s Women’s Division during her appearance on AEW Unrestricted, emphasizing the importance of strong babyfaces to balance the dynamic heels in the company.
“Everybody has their thing, their flavor, their character,” Rosa said. “I still feel very strongly that we need to have really strong babyfaces to go against the really strong personalities that we have as heels. One of the reasons Willow Nightingale is so popular is not only because she’s good, it’s because she’s a real babyface. She’s been able to take it to the next level.”
While the possibility of her dream WWE matches remains uncertain, Rosa’s passion for wrestling and storytelling continues to shine through her work in AEW. For now, fans can only speculate about what could be if Thunder Rosa ever steps into the WWE ring.
