The World Champion has expressed her thoughts on the counterprogramming measures!

In a recent appearance on the SandmanPodcast, AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm expressed her thoughts on WWE counterprogramming AEW.

WWE has escalated its war with All Elite Wrestling throughout 2025. The promotion has counter-programmed several of AEW’s major pay-per-views with NXT premium live events as well as Saturday Night’s Main Event.

However, WWE is currently set to host the Wrestlepalooza Premium Live Event this Saturday, scheduled for the same day as AEW’s All Out pay-per-view. This will be the first occasion on which a WWE main roster PLE will take place on the same day as an AEW pay-per-view.

Toni Storm gave a practical take on the counterprogramming

During the appearance, Storm responded to WWE’s decision to schedule Wrestlepalooza on the same day as AEW All Out, not by calling it a predatory move, but with a bold challenge of her own.

She also offered a pragmatic perspective, acknowledging that, from a business standpoint, WWE’s move was understandable.

“I think it’s great. Come on, fight me.

Be a bit weird of them as a large corporation to just do nothing – It would be a silly business decision not to. Of-course they are. Of-course they will. It’s their job.

We’re the ol’ hot ticket, we’re the talk of the town.” Storm said.

Storm’s viewpoint holds significance given her previous employment with WWE. She spent more than four years with the company before requesting her release in late 2021. After her departure, she joined AEW in the spring of 2022 and has since become a four-time AEW Women’s World Champion, currently in her fourth reign.

Toni Storm is ‘AEW for life’

During the appearance, Storm also made it clear that she has no intentions of switching companies and is AEW for life. She also revealed that she has signed a five-year deal with the company, and while acknowledging that unpredictable things can happen in wrestling, she made it clear that, for now, AEW is her permanent home.

“When I’m done wrestling, you’ll never see me again. You’ll never see me in any other capacity – or in any other company for that matter.

There’s no encore. This is it. I’m not doing anything else. Where would I go, what would I do? Because I’m on a long deal for AEW. I’ve signed my life to AEW. I’m on a five-year deal… but I’m a lifer for AEW.

There’s no, ‘Well I’ll see what happens.’ That does happen a lot in wrestling. Random crazy shit happens. But, as of now, AEW for life.”

When and where will Wrestlepalooza 2025 take place?

The event will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

When and where will AEW All Out 2025 take place?

The seventh annual edition of All Out will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
