Trick Williams praised ‘The Best in the World’ for helping out NXT stars

Ever since CM Punk made his return to WWE in November 2023, he has been having a great time with the company. The Best in the World is having fun with a change in attitude and is being praised for his backstage behaviour. Punk is currently away from in-ring competition, however is cooking his feud against Drew McIntyre.

Despite being injured and processing his ongoing storylines, Punk was spotted helping and motivating NXT stars backstage at WWE Performance Center, where NXT is primarily held. We have seen a number of wrestlers praising Punk for his contributions, now the NXT Champion Trick Williams addressed Punk’s contribution to the black and yellow brand and praised him.

Trick Williams gave a shout-out to CM Punk

Trick Williams recently appeared for an interview on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, where the NXT Champion was asked about CM Punk helping NXT stars. Trick said that he is a Mentor for them in NXT and says that they are blessed to have him.

He said that he has helped him with a few things and would be grateful for what he did. She gave a shout-out to Punk and praised him saying that he has been a positive light for everyone in NXT.

Trick said,

“Mentor is a perfect way to put it, man. He has been a blessing for all of us who would take the time to actually go talk to him and reach out to him. He’s helped me with a few things that I feel like, if the crowd knew about it, they would be very grateful that he did. I’ll just leave it there. Shoutout to CM Punk. He’s been a positive light for all of us here in NXT.”

It seems like NXT stars have great advice and help from Punk and might be their favourite mentor.

Trick is all set to defend his NXT Championship against Ethan Page at NXT Battleground 2024 this weekend on June 9, 2024 (Sunday) at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
