The Philadelphia Eagles’ star cornerback attempted the pedigree
WWE CCO Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has reacted to the viral clip of Philadelphia Eagles’ star cornerback Quinyon Mitchell imitating his finishing move during a game against the Green Bay Packers.
On Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles triumphed over the Green Bay Packers 22-10 in the NFL Playoffs Wild Card round. However, Quinyon’s celebration in the game’s final minutes made headlines, especially among the WWE fandom.
Mitchell picked off Packers QB Jordan Love with 1:51 remaining in the fourth quarter, marking Love’s third interception of the game and sealing the win for his team at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
After making the play, Mitchell ran towards his teammate and Eagles cornerback, Cooper DeJean, and attempted Levesque’s iconic finishing move, the pedigree celebrating the win. DeJean didn’t execute the move perfectly as he hit the ground before Mitchell could lock his arms.
Triple H has some notes for Quinyon Mitchell
However, the clip of two NFL stars doing a pro wrestling move has since gone viral on the internet so much so the man himself has now reacted to the clip.
Triple H took to his official X (Twitter) handle and reacted to the clip reminding everyone of why the promotion always asks fans to not the moves at home. Levesque also congratulated Quinyon and the Eagles for their win.
“There’s a reason we say ‘Don’t try this at home’…congrats on the win Quinyon & @Eagles!” Levesque tweeted.
Philadelphia has a deep connection with professional wrestling, boasting a rich and storied history. The city served as ECW’s home and hosted multiple WWE shows over the years. Apart from giants like the Stamford-based promotion, multiple independent pro wrestling companies have also hosted shows in the city.
After delivering on the historic debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix, the Stamford-based has now shifted its focus on the upcoming Saturday Night Main Event and the first PLE of 2025, the Royal Rumble.
