WWE legend Triple H is the current Chief Content Officer of WWE
Following the exit of former CEO, Vince McMahon there have been a lot of changes in the WWE. One of those changes includes former World Champion WWE Paul ‘Triple H‘ Levesque becoming the Chief Content Officer of the Stamford-based promotion.
Since Levesque took charge as the Chief Content Officer he made some significant changes. The WWE COO even brought some wrestlers back that had been released by the promotion. Despite the departure of McMahon, Levesque took the promotion to new heights.
Levesque not only created a storyline that was celebrated highly among fans but he also turned ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes into one of the biggest stars in the promotion.
The immense success of multiple PLEs including the grandest stage, WrestleMania 40 is proof of the former champion’s knowledge of the game. Similar to many bosses, Levesque too has his favorite stars that he relies upon when he needs them to deliver.
Today, we will look at five such WWE stars who the WWE COO can count on to deliver when he needs them to.
5. Drew McIntyre
Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is one of the top stars who has earned the unwavering trust of WWE COO Triple H. McIntyre’s consistent involvement in major storylines and Premium Live Events serves as a clear testament to the confidence Levesque has in the Scottish Warrior.
McIntyre was involved in a bloody feud with CM Punk that culminated at the Bad Blood 2024 PLE. The Scottish warrior has since been absent from WWE programming.
McIntyre has immense gratitude towards the Stamford-based promotion and the COO for believing in him. The Scottish warrior also disclosed that the promotion helped him in a period of uncertainty.
“There was a period where I was like maybe I’m gonna have to take a little break and come back and some uncertainty. Thankfully as a family, we came together and WWE gave me the time I needed whenever I needed it during that period, and in the end, as a family, we came together. We had a conversation about what was best for us. The company was unbelievable with that and thankfully everybody is in a great place right now,”
4. Kevin Owens
‘The Prizefighter’ Kevin Owens is currently involved in a feud against WWE legend Randy Orton. Owens’ involvement in major storylines and his continuous appearances are proof of Levesque’s trust in the Prizefighter.
Owens has had many achievements in his career in the WWE including becoming the second-ever WWE Universal Champion on August 29, 2016. The Prizefighter has revealed that Levesque is the reason that he is in the company.
“The moment with Triple H and the ‘turn’ with him pedigreeing Seth, all the way to him handing me the title was so surreal. He’s the reason I’m here. He sought me out on the Independent scene. He signed me to a contract with NXT. He’s been in my corner for so long, from the start, when a lot of people weren’t,”
Owens also revealed that WWE’s COO had always been in his corner, believing in him long before anyone else ever gave him a chance.
3. Randy Orton
Randy Orton and Triple H have not only worked together for a long time but The Viper also considers Levesque his mentor. When The Viper completed his twenty years in the promotion, Levesque took to his Twitter to congratulate the legend killer.
“Only a few actually make it to the very, very top of @WWE, almost no one can do it for 20 years. I’ve had the honor of watching @RandyOrton do just that; and become the star, the performer, the leader, the man and the father I always knew he would. Congrats on 20 years, Randy!”
Orton reciprocated by expressing his gratitude towards the WWE’s COO for his unwavering support and mentorship throughout his career. The viper also reflected on the patience Levesque showed him early on in his career.
“I know it took some patience with me in the beginning, but thank you for not giving up on me. I couldn’t have asked for a better mentor. Everyone that crosses paths with you in this business is better for it, whether it’s inside the ring or out. Thank YOU!”
Even after two decades of being in the promotion Orton has never been sidelined and is involved in major storyline. The Viper remains one of the fan favorites when he walks into the squared ring. He is currently involved in a major feud with former friend Kevin Owens.
2. Cody Rhodes
The trust that Levesque has in Cody Rhodes can be judged by the fact he handed Rhodes the Undisputed WWE Champion at WrestleMania 40. The COO not only trusted Rhodes but also made him one of the biggest babyface stars in the promotion since the departure of John Cena from full-time wrestling.
Rhodes made his return to the Stamford-based promotion in 2022 and has never looked back. Levesque has also immense faith in Cody as he has not only made him the champion but continues to involve him in the main events of multiple PLEs.
The American Nightmare has disclosed recently in an interview with the BBC that Triple H is one of the stars that he looked up to when he was a kid.
As per recent reports, the WWE has no plans for the foreseeable future to remove The American Nightmare as the undisputed champion which demonstrates the belief Levesque has in Rhodes.
1. Roman Reigns
‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns is without a doubt one of the most trusted stars of the WWE top brass. Levesque also did what Vince McMahon was unable to do and that was getting Reigns accepted as babyface among fans.
Reigns and Levesque share a unique relationship that dates back to before the OTC made his main roster debut. The OTC has spoken about the relationship stating that Levesque was always there to guide him.
“You know, H was very critical in his process to guide me along. He was kind of before I met Vince and built a relationship with him, it was Triple H. He was the one that was down there in developmental.”
The trust that the WWE COO and the company have in Reigns is undeniable when you look at the push that he has given in his career despite the highs and lows. Levesque has also credited The OTC as a generational talent.
Reigns is one of the most dominant champions in the history of the promotion with his Undisputed WWE Universal Champion reign that lasted 1,316 days from August 30, 2020, to April 7, 2024. He was dethroned by ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.
