Sami Zayn is out of action indefinitely due to the attack
WWE has completed its most successful and lucrative Royal Rumble event. Jey Uso shocked the world by winning the star-studded Royal Rumble. He is yet to reveal who he will challenge. However, WWE has begun planning for the next major event.
The Elimination Chamber qualification bouts began, with Sami Zayn taking against CM Punk. CM Punk joined John Cena following a hard-fought bout against CM Punk. He had earlier ridiculed Sami for not being on his level, but Sami earned his respect during the match. WWE executives were concerned about what happened next.
Kevin Owens sneak attacked Sami Zayn and performed a Package Piledriver, causing spine compression and serious nerve damage to Sami. Zayn also lost his qualification match for the Elimination Chamber to CM Punk. It occurred in the most savage match of the latest Raw, versus CM Punk.
The savage beating Zayn took from Punk would be far less painful than what Kevin Owen did to him, both physically and psychologically.
During the 7th February broadcast of SmackDown, announcers Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore provided a disturbing report on Sami Zayn. The former Intercontinental champion is out of action indefinitely due to various injuries. Zayn is suffering from spinal compression, fluid in his elbow, and severe nerve damage, and there have been no verified updates on his comeback.
Kevin Owens warns Sami Zayn as he is not done with him
Just recently, a battle-scarred and emotional Owens posted the following promo from his car, in which he pours his heart out and says he will never forgive Zayn for doing nothing as Cody Rhodes nearly killed him at Royal Rumble.
As usual, KO made some excellent points here. Rhodes left Owens for dead, and Sami didn’t move a finger to stop it, despite being only feet away. But Sami didn’t hesitate to rescue Roman Reigns later in the Royal Rumble fight when Roman was being trampled in the corner.
Owens concluded the video by threatening to hold Sami Zayn accountable for being a “horrible friend” and “disgusting human being.”
