Roman Reigns is reportedly the major draw for WWE SmackDown’s viewership
On the August 09, 2024 episode of WWE SmackDown, Roman Reigns made his return to the blue brand after four months. The Original Tribal Chief confronted the new Bloodline as an act of revenge against Solo Sikoa. Roman brawled with the Bloodline and tried to take the Ula Fala from Solo Sikoa, but Solo escaped with the Samoan Necklace.
However, the Infamous Tonga Loa and Solo’s right-hand man Tama Tonga became the victim of Roman’s assault. Roman Reigns had only the final ten minutes on the show, however it became a big talking point. At this stage, WWE has officially revealed that Roman had drawn insane numbers over his SmackDown return.
Roman Reigns’ SmackDown return drew huge viewership
WWE has officially announced that the August 09, 2024 episode of Friday Night SmackDown generated a total of 2.433 Million viewers overnight. It is reportedly the highest viewership for SmackDown since April 2024. The stats revealed that the viewership has increased up to 21% over the previous week. Last week’s (August 02, 2024) episode of Blue Brand had an overall viewership of 2.179 million.
The stats additionally revealed that 811,000 viewers are aged between 18-49 years, which is up by 19% compared to the previous week. The show ratings have also increased by 0.60. The show marks the second in total viewership and the key demographic. It is important to note that the blue brand has been competing in the Olympic Games 2024.

Based on the stats it is clear that Roman Reigns is the major draw for blue brands ratings and viewerships. Roman is also scheduled to make his appearance next week on the August 16, 2024 episode of SmackDown from the KIA Center in Orlando, Florida, United States.
