Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane took on Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair

On the recent episode of Monday Night Raw, Damage CTRL’s Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane took on Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship was on the line for this match.

Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair currently hold the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles. The team of Cargill and Belair captured the title at the WWE Bash in Berlin on August 31, 2024, after defeating the Unholy Union of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.

The champions started the fight strong manhandling the challengers. However, they found themselves on the defensive later in the fight. Although the match was very good given the talent involved. The champions retained their titles with a little assist from outside.

NXT’s Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend were ringside for the match. The former challengers from NXT created a distraction that helped Bianca deliver a KOD to Sky and win the match via pinfall.

Jackson and Legend interference cost The Damage CTRL the tag team title. This might lead to a possible feud between the two tag teams and could lead to the two teams fighting it out in the ring.

Bianca Belair landed a brutal spear on Iyo Sky during the fight

Sane started her pro wrestling career with World Wonder Ring Stardom, under the ring name Kairi Hojo. Sane had a six-year run in the promotion. She captured the Wonder of Stardom Championship, the World of Stardom Championship, and numerous tag titles.

During the fight on the recent episode of Raw, Both teams traded brutal blows in an action-packed fast-paced fight. During a fight sequence, Bianca Belair landed a brutal spear that sent Iyo Sky flying to the mat. The impact was so brutal that Sky spun mid-air and was visibly hurt.

The impact was so severe that there was a possibility of Iyo Sky actually being injured which could force her out of action. Despite the spear’s impact, she continued the fight for the title.

However, she quickly put all speculation to rest as she just walked off the impact and continued fighting. Sky is among the best wrestlers of her era and even after the brutal spear, she continued fighting. The fighting spirit of Sky is without a shadow of a doubt commendable.
