AJ Styles is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, who traveled across the world and proved himself why he is the Phenomenal One. Styles is a major star in WWE, however in known for his time in TNA & NJPW. Styles have a great legacy in Japan and achieved monumental success, before joining WWE. Styles recently made his Japanese return to Pro-Wrestling NOAH & shared his experience wrestling in Japan after eight years for Pro-Wrestling NOAH, representing WWE.
AJ Styles secures win at NOAH Destination
AJ Styles recently made his appearance at NOAH Destination 2024 pay-per-view to face the Japanese legend Naomichi Marufiji in his retirement tour. Styles vs Marufuji co-main evented the show and showcased one of the best matches of the event. They delivered a 25-minute tough match with the ‘Phenomenal One’ walking out victorious in the end, showing respect to Marufiji.

After the match, Styles appeared on the poet-match media event and shared his experience wrestling Naomicji Marufiji and appreciated him for who he is. He praised him saying that he is one of the Japanese best and is happy to share the ring with him. He felt that Marufiji took him to the edge, where his experience played out, but securing a win against him proved himself. Styles said that if there is anyone who can claim that is Phenomenal, it will be Naomichi Marufiji.

AJ Styles when asked about Japanese fans said that he has special respect for the Japanese fans, as they are the ones who make the matches and not the wrestlers. He said that the world needs to learn how a pro-wrestler needs to be respected, by the Japanese fans, as they understand everything and appreciate them.
Styles on Japanese talents he wanted to fight
Styles was asked about which fighter he likes to fight with. Which, Styles said that there are a lot of good fighters on the roster. He claims that it is the first step as WWE & NOAH working together and believes that there could be a talent swap to have Japanese & American experience. That is the best way to go, which helped him to be the man he is.
AJ Styles on WWE Japan tour
Styles said that he will be back in Japan in two weeks with the WWE roster for WWE’s tour in Japan and several stars are coming along with him. He said that the Japanese stars such as Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane will also be back.
