WWE held the Road to WrestleMania live show in Nottingham on Sunday

As part of the Road to WrestleMania live show, the Stamford-based promotion delivered the live show in Nottingham, England on Sunday. The show featured top stars including CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Solo Sikoa, Charlotte Flair and Sheamus.

The Stamford-based promotion is currently in Europe delivering multiple live shows along with multiple episodes of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown from across the pond in the build-up to the WrestleMania 41 PLE.

During Sunday’s live show in Nottingham, a video posted by the WWE won the hearts of fans as they witnessed CM Punk and Cody Rhodes having an emotional moment together. In the video, Cody and Punk are seen sitting together on the apron before their match.

The Second City Saint cheered and clapped as Cody made his entrance and the two shared a heartfelt laugh embracing each other before entering the ring. Punk appeared in tears as he entered the ring soaking all the love from the Nottingham crowd.

The Road to WrestleMania live show emanated from the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham, UK, and featured multiple matches including a WWE Intercontinental Championship match and a World Tag Team title match.

In the main event of the show, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and CM Punk teamed up to battle the team of World Heavyweight Champion Gunther and Solo Sikoa. Sheamus was also in action against Bron Breakker.

Rhodes and Punk are now both set for an appearance on tonight’s Monday Night Raw which is set to emanate from the OVO Hydro Arena in Glasgow, Scotland. Rhodes is set to write another chapter in his feud against John Cena, who will also appear on tonight’s show.

On the other hand, CM Punk will likely address the massive brawl on last week’s show of SmackDown involving him, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns. A triple-threat match between the three has also been announced for the WrestleMania 41 PLE.
