Top five ways Alexa Bliss could make her WWE return

Alexa Bliss has been on a hiatus for over a year now
January 28th, 2023, was the last time Alexa Bliss stepped into a WWE ring. She unsuccessfully challenged the then-women’s champion Bianca Belair on that night. Since that defeat, Ms. Bliss has been absent from WWE programming, having taken time away owing to the birth of her daughter in November 2023.
Ever since then, speculations have always been rife about her return to the wrestling juggernaut. But if the events of the 23rd September edition of RAW are to be believed, her comeback is imminent. Here, we have compiled a list of the top five ways by which Alexa Bliss could make her return.
5. As a sixth member of The Wyatt Sicks
All the signs are pointing towards a return to the dark side for Alexa Bliss. It was no coincidence that her doll ‘Lilly’ was seen in the background during the recent Monday Night RAW episode. While it could be a swerve on the part of WWE to keep their creative plans for Ms. Bliss under wraps.
The possibility of her joining the sadistic Wyatt Sicks faction is quite high. Bliss has previously been in cahoots with Bray Wyatt when he portrayed ‘The Fiend’ persona. Also, her past association with current Sicks member Niki Cross is another link for the former WWE women’s champion to the Uncle Howdy-led ensemble.
4. As a credible threat to Liv Morgan/Rhea Ripley’s Women’s Title
As a five-time former women’s champion, it makes total sense to catapult Bliss into a title scramble with whoever is the champion after Bad Blood. Her best wrestling days might be behind her, but having a title run or two could be good for business.
Moreover, Bliss has been languishing in the mid-card for far too long now, and her past achievements make her worthy to compete for the top prize whenever she mounts a comeback to WWE.
3. Aiding Braun Strowman in his battle of monsters against ‘Big’ Bronson Reed
This one might be a long stretch, considering no one is safe from the tortures of ‘Big’ Bronson Reed. However, Bliss could use her charm to distract the Australian and help Braun Strowman in his colossal feud. Not to forget, the former women’s money in the bank winner and ‘The Monster of Monsters’ have teamed up in the past in the mixed-tag team challenge.
Not only that, their paths have crossed numerous times in the backstage segments. Add to that both the performers’ past association with Bray Wyatt, and you could again come up with the Wyatt Sicks connection!
2. As a leader of a newly formed faction
Alexa Bliss is at such a stage in her wrestling career where she has a lot to offer to the new generation. WWE could benefit greatly by pairing the veteran grappler with a couple of up-and-coming wrestlers as part of a newly formed stable.
The 33-year-old superstar could help the Stamford-based promotion in grooming its next set of main eventers. It could be a dream opportunity for youngsters to work with such an accomplished name in the wrestling business.
Not to mention, it could be an excellent way for WWE to slowly reintegrate Bliss back into the rigors of wrestling by keeping her fighting schedule light initially.
1. As an authority figure
Speaking of keeping Bliss’s wrestling schedule light, what better way than to put her in an authority role? Adam Pearce has had a lot on his plate as RAW’s general manager and, as such, could surely use some help.
That’s where Bliss can step in and become a shining light for Pearce in these tough times. WWE can expedite the five-time women’s champion’s appearance on TV while giving her ample time to shed her ring rust and be ready to compete in the squared circle in no time this way.
Alexa Bliss has been a top star ever since women gained the recognition they deserved in WWE. With a top star like Becky Lynch stepping away from the business, a void has been created in the wrestling juggernaut women’s division. Bliss’s return could be a perfect way to stack up the women’s roster; the only thing that remains to be seen is how WWE will handle her much-awaited comeback.
