WWE could announce a banger match for the PLE on Raw tonight.
The 39th installment of the Royal Rumble PLE is scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, and will be held at King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of Riyadh Season. WWE is set to deliver the Rumble go-home show of Monday Night Raw tonight from Ontario.
The January 26 episode of WWE Raw will air live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Notably, WWE has announced two high-stakes matches, including a title match and a singles clash where AJ Styles’ career is on the line.
However, with many exciting feuds still unravelling, fans can expect a banger match announced for the PLE on tonight’s edition of the Red brand. Here we will take a look at three such potential matches that WWE could announce tonight for the Royal Rumble.
3. Maxxine Dupri vs Natalya
Last week, Maxxine Dupri challenged Becky Lynch in a rematch for the Women’s Intercontinental title. Durpi came very close to winning the match when Natalya, who was not just in Dupri’s corner, but also has been her mentor, turned on her, helping Becky break the pin and eventually win the match.
The betrayal was immediately followed by a vicious beatdown, leaving Dupri no chance to react to the defeat. The new feud against a veteran will only help Dupri become a establish name in front of fans.
WWE can book a grudge match between the two for the PLE, which can be used to further build the storyline, leading into WrestleMania.

2. The Usos vs Winner of the Fatal Four-Way match

The New Day, Alpha Academy, Los Americanos, and American Made will all compete in the fatal four-way tonight to decide who gets the chance to take on the reigning Champion, The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso).
Much like its approach to the women’s tag division, WWE can revitalize the Raw tag team scene by giving different teams meaningful opportunities and well-deserved pushes. With two highly popular champions already in place, the division now needs strong, credible challengers.
WWE can announce a tag title clash for the PLE, between the current Champions and the winner of the aforementioned fatal four-way, and deliver an incredible showdown that can help revive the division, instead of hollow promos by Jey Uso, putting the entire division on notice, without title defenses.
1. Stephanie Vaquer vs Raquel Rodriguez
After sustaining an injury in her latest title defense against Nikki Bella and Raquel Rodriguez, Stephanie Vaquer made it clear that the injury wouldn’t hinder her trajectory. However, Rordiguez made sure to attack the Champion when she was at her most vulnerable, constantly attacking her injured ankle.
After a short absence, Vaquer made her return during last week’s SNME, attacking Rodriguez, who was aiding Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez in their Tag title match against current Champions Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky.
The attack made it clear that Vaquer is not going to back down. Vaquer will likely make an appearance tonight, and Rodriguez is surely going to demand a rematch, now that the Champion is free from injury. WWE could make the showdown official for Rumble PLE tonight on Raw.
