WWE Universe has seen many GM’s till now but what do they do?

RAW General Manager Adam Pearce recently discussed the job of a WWE General Manager. For more than four years, he has served as a television authority figure for the Stamford-based corporation.

The 46-year-old returned to WWE in 2013 and has been with the business ever since, performing a variety of roles both on and off camera.

In 2020, he established himself as an on-screen authoritative figure for RAW and SmackDown. During SmackDown’s Season Premiere in October 2023, Pearce was promoted to General Manager of the Red brand, while Nick Aldis was presented as the new General Manager of the Blue brand.

Adam Pearce just shared an Instagram video of his chat with Chris Van Vliet. The former NWA World Heavyweight Champion outlined the essential guidelines for a General Manager. Pearce noted that a GM serves as a supporting character, with a WWE Superstar at the heart of the plot.

“This position [of a General manager], okay, it’s a supporting character on a television show that, by definition, isn’t there to overshadow or step on the superstars. They are the beacons that we want the eyes focused on.

“But the General Manager or the WWE Official that I played for years before that, that’s an informational conduit to what you just said, to make sure that everybody understands the context to what is happening with these larger-thanlife characters that are on their screens every Monday and every Friday.”

He also added, “And sometimes they’re the focus of the direction of the story, [and] sometimes the GM is there to change the direction of the story but the story is always about the superstar.”

Chelsea Green wants to fight Adam Pearce

Adam Pearce and Chelsea Green have shared some unforgettable backstage moments. Prior to the previous WWE Women’s Champion being recruited to the blue brand, the two had a heated feud.

During an interview with Steve Fall of Ten Count Media, the 33-year-old stated that she had been advocating for an intergender battle with Adam Pearce. The Hot Mess stated that she was confident in winning the contest and succeeding the latter as the next RAW General Manager.

“I’m trying. I have been pitching for it for a year now. Oh yeah. I mean, look, I want an intergender match against where the loser, because it is going to be him [Pearce], is not GM. [The] Winner gets theGM position,” she said.

Chelsea Green has been increasingly popular among wrestling fans in recent months. It remains to be seen whether she will meet encounters with RAW General Manager Adam Pearce.
