Karrion Kross is finally getting the platform to showcase his full potential.

Amid major fan uproar, it seems WWE has finally listened. Karrion Kross is not only getting proper screen time and a meaningful match on television, but he’s also set for a bout at a premium live event.

Kross had been mostly limited to a few backstage segments and a handful of matches, especially since February, when his stable, the Final Testament, was disbanded and multiple members, including Akom, Rezar, and Paul Ellering, were released.

Kross mostly competed in WWE Main Event, despite massive demands from fans. However, it all changed on the June 23 episode of Monday Night Raw.

What Happened?

Jackie Redmond, after interviewing Becky Lynch backstage on this week’s Raw, went up to Sami Zayn, asking him about his loss to Randy Orton last week in the King of the Ring semi-finals and how he was processing the loss.

Karrion Kross then came out along with Scarlett, mocking Sami, who was struggling to reply. Kross continued to taunt Zayn, claiming that what happened was exactly what he had predicted earlier. Kross then declared that Sami would never be a World Champion.

Zayn fired back with a heavy blow, taking down Kross before stating that he had spoken to Adam Pearce, and the match between them was now official. Zayn left, and Scarlett told Kross to stop acting. Kross smirked and said, “Got ’em,” as the two began laughing maniacally.

Sami Zayn and Karrion Kross will battle in a singles match

Later in the show, the promotion made the match between Kross and Zayn official for the upcoming Night of Champions 2025. The 11th Night of Champions is set for Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The PLE will feature the 24th King of the Ring tournament and the third Queen of the Ring tournament, along with a street fight and two title clashes.

The announcement was met with excitement from fans as Kross is finally getting the platform to showcase his full potential. It will also be interesting to see how the match and the storyline play out.

When did Karrion Kross last compete in a singles match at a WWE PLE?

Kross has not competed on a single PLE this year, and his last PLE match was at WrestleMania 40, where he was involved in a Six-Man Tag Team Philadelphia Street Fight alongside Akom and Rezar battling The Pride (Angelo Dawkins, Bobby Lashley & Montez Ford).

He has also competed in the 2024 and 2023 men’s Royal Rumble match as well as SummerSlam Battle Royal at the namesake PLE in 2023. However, when it comes to a singles match at a Premium Live Event, we have to rewind the clock back to 2022.

Karrion Kross battled Drew McIntyre in a steel cage match at the 2022 Crown Jewel, which emanated from the Mrsool Park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Kross suffered defeat in the match against McIntyre. When it comes to his last singles PLE win, it was during Extreme Rules 2022 against McIntyre in a strap match.
