Paul Heyman debuted the new phrase.
Brock Lesnar has had no shortage of memorable catchphrases in his career. “Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat.” was plastered across merchandise for years. “Suplex City” became one of the most recognisable phrases in modern professional wrestling.
Now, heading into WrestleMania 42, The Beast Incarnate has a brand new one, and it is already turning heads across the wrestling world. The phrase is FAF5, and it debuted to a massive reaction on the March 23 episode of Monday Night Raw in Boston, Massachusetts.
What does FAF5 mean?
FAF5 stands for “F*** Around and F5.” It is a play on the widely known internet phrase FAFO, which stands for “F*** Around and Find Out.” The key difference is the ending: instead of “Find Out,” anyone who dares to cross Brock Lesnar will find an F5 waiting for them.
The F5 is, of course, Lesnar’s devastating finishing move, in which he hoists opponents onto his shoulders and flings them face-first into the mat with brute force.
The phrase was first debuted the week prior by Paul Heyman. With Seth Rollins in the ring, Heyman repeatedly said “F*** Around and Find Out” before pivoting to “F*** Around and F5,” signalling Lesnar’s arrival. The crowd immediately picked up on what was happening, and the moment landed perfectly.
Brock Lesnar wore a new FAF5 shirt on WWE Raw.

On the March 23 edition of WWE Raw, Lesnar and Heyman opened the show to address Oba Femi’s devastating Fall from Grace attack from the week before. The Beast Incarnate walked to the ring wearing a brand new black FAF5 merchandise shirt, with the phrase printed in red alongside his name. WWE has since officially listed the shirt for sale, with the product description noting that Heyman put it best: it is not FAFO, it is FAF5.
Heyman delivered a strong promo on Lesnar’s behalf, listing names like Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, and Jon Moxley (referred to by his former ring name Dean Ambrose, which drew a huge reaction from the Boston crowd) as superstars who all failed to put Lesnar away. His message was clear: Oba Femi will be no different at WrestleMania 42.
For the second consecutive week, however, Oba Femi got the better of Lesnar, sending The Beast crashing out of the ring to a massive crowd response in Boston. The segment has firmly established Femi as a credible WrestleMania threat, while the FAF5 catchphrase gives Lesnar a sharp, punchy hook that fits his character perfectly heading into the biggest event of the year.
With WrestleMania 42 set for April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the Lesnar versus Femi showdown is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing matches on the card. The question now is whether The Beast can back up the FAF5 promise when it matters most.
What does FAF5 mean in WWE?
FAF5 stands for “F* Around and F5.” It is a twist on the popular FAFO phrase (“F* Around and Find Out”), with the ending replaced by Brock Lesnar’s signature finishing move, the F5. Paul Heyman coined the phrase on WWE Raw to signal that anyone who crosses Lesnar will end up on the receiving end of his devastating finisher.
When did Brock Lesnar debut the FAF5 catchphrase?
Paul Heyman first used the phrase on the March 16 episode of Raw before Lesnar’s return. On the March 23 episode from TD Garden in Boston, Lesnar officially debuted a brand new FAF5 merchandise shirt, wearing it to the ring while he and Heyman opened the show to address Oba Femi’s attack from the previous week.
What is Brock Lesnar’s F5 finishing move?
The F5 is Brock Lesnar’s signature finishing move in WWE. Lesnar hoists his opponent across his shoulders in a fireman’s carry position and then swings them forward, releasing them so they crash face-first into the mat with tremendous force. The name references Category 5, the most powerful classification of a hurricane, reflecting the destructive nature of the move.
