‘The Tribal Chief’ recently collaborated with Nike
During WWE RAW’s Netflix debut on January 6, 2025, Roman Reigns made a notable fashion statement by wearing custom Nike Kobe 9 sneakers, designed to reflect his “Tribal Chief” persona.
This choice aligns with Reigns’ recent collaboration with the Jordan Brand, announced in April 2024, which has led to the development of exclusive “Bloodline”-branded sneakers set for release in 2025.
The Nike Kobe 9 is renowned for its high-top design and Flyknit technology, offering both support and flexibility attributes. It shouldn’t be much evident, just look at the OTC & his performance.
By opting for these custom sneakers, Reigns not only paid homage to the late Kobe Bryant but also reinforced his status as the “Tribal Chief” within WWE.
This footwear choice was well-received by fans and sneaker enthusiasts, further elevating Reigns’ presence during this historic event.
Roman Reigns cements himself as the OTC
Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat on Monday’s first edition of WWE Raw on Netflix, earning him the Ula Fala and the title of Tribal Chief.
The contest became a show of who could save their respective winners, as both Reigns and Sikoa need all of the assistance they could get.
After taking a beating with the kendo staff, Reigns flipped the script on the top rope, overwhelming Sikoa and throwing him into a table. Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu dragged the referee out of the ring just as Reigns was about to pin him, rescuing Sikoa and executing a nasty beatdown on Reigns.
Sami Zayn and Jimmy Uso came to Reigns’ rescue as he was encircled three on one, allowing him to line up a spear on Sikoa. However, there was no referee in the ring, thus no counts were made.
Kevin Owens rushed in to save Sikoa from a Superman Punch, slamming Reigns with a Stunner. Cody Rhodes immediately saved Reigns, and the audience chanted, “This is awesome.”
The enthusiasm was evident as the fans exploded in excitement. The encounter finished with Reigns and Sikoa alone in the ring, where Reigns hit back-to-back spears to secure the victory via pinfall.
Following the match, The Rock made a theatrical entrance into the ring in front of a cheering audience. With a grim look, he approached Reigns and put the Ula Fala around his neck, signaling his recognition of Reigns as the genuine champion & Tribal Chief.
Reigns’ remarkable 1,316-day reign as world champion ended at WrestleMania 40 last year when he defeated Cody Rhodes, calling The Bloodline’s pecking order into doubt.
During Reigns’ absence, Sikoa took over as the leader of The Bloodline and transformed it into his own vision, replacing Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman with Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu.
