The Rock might make his return but what if he doesn’t?

WWE is all set to host the 2024 Bad Blood PLE live this Saturday (October 05, 2024) from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. WWE has booked a total of five matches for the show featuring some of the major stars in the company.

Reports have confirmed that The Rock has made his way to Georgia and he is there, so, it can be highly expected that The Rock is making his highly expected WWE return. It all started after Cody Rhodes and Pat McAfee started discussing the “big guy” returning to Bad Blood, kickstarting the speculations that The Rock could be back on the show.

Although the speculations are made, nothing is confirmed yet. So what if The Rock didn’t return at the Bad Blood PLE? Here we take a look at some of the consequences if The Rock didn’t appear on the show.

3. Fans lose interest in the Bloodline storyline

The Bloodline storyline has been too draggy in recent times and the only reason it got back on track is by the return of Roman Reigns. The fans expected a big storyline for the throne of Tribal Chief and who owns the Ula Fala, however, the storyline is being sidelined and the company booked a tag team match for the PLE. As there are a lot of critics on the bookings, it was also made as the main event of the show (as per reports). If The Rock didn’t return & the match result didn’t have anything to do with the angle, fans would lose interest in the Bloodline storyline.

2. Fans will turn on Triple H

WWE fans are already upset at Triple H for not booking CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre’s Hell in a Cell match as the main event and instead putting the Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu match in the main event card. The fans started raising questions about the mess-up, however, they expected a big end to the tag team match, with Rock’s return. If the Final Boss fails to return to the show, the fans will turn on Triple H and will go against the Hunter, bashing him on the internet.

1. Will decline upcoming events’ viewership

If WWE fails to bring The Rock one to the show, this would turn out to be one of the most disastrous PLEs in recent times. We have witnessed a number of times that the whole show got negative reactions for a poor main event. This could be one such event, as the expectations are set high. It will not only affect the viewership of this event, but it could also impact the upcoming Crown Jewel PLE. If the company falls into a decline in viewership at this stage, it will be a big trouble for the company in a number of ways.
