The Second City Saint emerged victorious in the main event
In the main event of the historic debut episode of Monday Night RAW, ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk locked horns with Seth “Freakin” Rollins. The main event clash between the two fierce rivals became an instant classic with both star putting their body on the line for the win.
However, in the end, the Second City Saint was able to land two back-to-back GTS to pick up the win against Rollins at the Intuit Dome last week.
Here we take a look at three ways Punk can move forward following the triumph against Rollins in the debut episode this week.
3. Continue his feud with Rollins
The dominant win against Seth Rollins has undoubtedly given the Second City Saint some bragging rights. Although the two stars left it all in the squared ring on January 6, the animosity between the two might still be rife.
There is a possibility that the feud between the two continues on the 01/13 episode of WWE Raw, especially with Punk scheduled for an appearance. However, the continuation of the feud might interfere with Punk’s goal of becoming a champion once again.

2. Call out Gunther
As mentioned above the Second City Saint is set to make an appearance on the 01/13 episode of the Red brand which will emanate from the SAP Centre. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther is also set to appear on the show.
Punk has stated his intention of fighting for the title and headlining WrestleMania, following his win on such a historic stage he can call out ‘The Ring General’ Gunther setting up a match between the two with the title on the line.
Punk had initially planned to fight for the title once he returned last month to the Red brand but his plans were spoiled when Rollins appeared leading to a war of words between the two. This confrontation was the beginning of their feud which culminated in the debut episode.
1. Win the Royal Rumble 2025 PLE
One of the most efficient ways to earn a guaranteed title shot and headline WrestleMania is to win the Royal Rumble PLE. The winner of the 30-men Rumble match gets to fight the champion usually from the same brand at the grandest stage.
If the Ring General refuses to grant the Second City Saint a title shot, Punk should enter the Royal Rumble and claim victory. This would not only set up a match with the champion but also be a major milestone in CM Punk’s already illustrious career and would give him a chance to pick his opponent for Mania.
What do you think CM Punk’s next step should be after the win? Do you want him to continue his feud with Seth Rollins or start his ascend towards the title? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
