Randy Orton recently lost to Gunther challenging for the world title!
Randy Orton is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, who is having a great run in WWE for over two decades. The Apex Predator is a 14 time World Champion, who is just two reigns less of equalling John Cena & Ric Flair for the most number of World Championship reign in WWE.
Orton recently challenged Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther at Bash in Berlin in a pursuit to become the 15 time world champion, but failed as Gunther made Orton pass out to the sleeper hold to retain the title. So what’s next for Randy Orton after his title match loss against Gunther at Bash in Berlin, here we explore potential moves.
3. Chase tag team titles Kevin Owens
Randy Orton, before entering into a feud with Gunther on Raw, was having a tag team alliance with Kevin Owens in the SmackDown brand. After both losing the world title match at Bash in Berlin, they could still chase the gold, by teaming up with each other. Orton could team up with Owens and restart the rivalry with The Bloodline chasing the tag team championship feuding with Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa in the upcoming events.
2. Rematch with Gunther
Orton lost the title match to Gunther without being pinned or submitted. The Ring General made The Viper pass out to the sleeper holds. As The Ring General had the hometown advantage at Berlin, Orton could challenge Gunther for a championship rematch within the United States. On the other hand, The Ring General could offer Orton a final title shot in the upcoming events, to set Orton away from challenging him for the title again.
1. Challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE title
Cody Rhodes recently offered the Undisputed WWE Championship title shot to Kevin Owens due to respect, friendship and for always having his back. Owens was unable to attack his own friend while he was not 100%, which made Cody retain his title. Similar to how Rhodes gave a title shot to Owens, he could give a title shot to Randy Orton for the same reasons. This could give Orton another chance to become the 15 time world champion.
