When is John Cena's next WWE appearance after Night of Champions 2025?

The Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena reignited his feud from a decade ago against ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk. The feud culminated in a title clash in the main event of Night of Champions 2025.
The 11th Night of Champions was held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The show featured stars from both the Raw and SmackDown rosters, and hosted the finals of both the 24th King of the Ring tournament and the third Queen of the Ring tournament.
In the main event of the show, John Cena and CM Punk locked horns in what was dubbed as ‘one final battle’. Seth Rollins, along with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, caused interference in the match as Rollins wanted to cash in the MITB contract.
Breakker and Reed attacked Punk, but he was quickly aided by Penta and Sami Zayn. However, Rollins once again ruined the moment for Punk, striking him with the briefcase before delivering a devastating Stomp, leaving Punk flatlined in the ring.
Cena capitalized on the opportunity, dumping Rollins outside the ring to make the pin on Cena and retain the title in the main event last Saturday.
John Cena is advertised for the July 18 episode of WWE SmackDown
Following the bout, WWE fans are now waiting for Cena’s next appearance and what his next move will be. Cody Rhodes winning the King of the Ring tournament means he has now earned a title shot at SummerSlam and would likely battle Cena in a rematch.
However, fans would have to wait a little bit for Cena’s appearance as he is likely going to miss the July 4 and 11 episodes of SmackDown. As per WWE.com, John Cena is currently being advertised for the July 18, 2025, episode.
The July 18 episode of Friday Night SmackDown will emanate live from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.
