Rhea Ripley suffered a fractured right orbital socket
WWE star Rhea Ripley recently sustained a serious injury following an attack by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on last month’s episode of WWE NXT. According to WWE, Ripley will be out of action for an undisclosed period of time.
During the October 29 episode of NXT, Ripley was ambushed and left bleeding in the parking lot by Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and her enforcer, Raquel Rodriguez. As a result of the attack, Ripley suffered a fractured right orbital socket.
Ripley and Morgan have had an intense rivalry since the fallout between Ripley and Dominik Mysterio. Dirty Dom ended the nearly two-year-long on-screen relationship as he betrayed Ripley in her fight against Liv Morgan.
The feud has intensified as the two stars have attacked each other multiple times following Ripley’s return earlier this year after a three-month hiatus on the 8 July episode of Raw.
The WWE is targeting Rhea Ripley’s return before WrestleMania 41
Earlier reports suggested that the injury is legitimate, and Ripley will be taking time off from the ring to recover. Mami will be absent from WWE programming for the time being, as there is no timeline for her return.
However, as per recent reports from PWInsider, there is still no official timeline for Ripley’s return, but there is optimism that her injury may not be as severe as originally anticipated.
“Rhea Ripley’s current injury problem is not as bad as first feared. However, there is still some time before she returns. Rhea is set for a big role at Wrestlemania 41, so the hope is she will be ready by then”
The report suggests that the Stamford-based promotion is targeting Rhea’s return before next year’s WrestleMania 41 in April 2025. Ripley is set for a big role at the grandest stage as per reports.
Ripley’s most recent in-ring appearance took place on the October 14 episode of Raw which was taped on October 7, where she teamed up with Tiffany Stratton to take on Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
