When will AJ Styles make his WWE return?

AJ Styles has been written off from WWE TV for a long time!

AJ Styles is one of the best professional wrestlers in the industry, who have a great legacy beyond WWE. The Phenomenal One rarely had his time off from WWE TV since his debut and has been a full-timer for the major part of his run.

The 46 year old however took a long hiatus last year to come back as a heel. Styles as a heel, competed with some of the big babyfaces in WWE and attained wide attention, which he lagged in recent times.

Styles was on a mission to become the Undisputed WWE Champion and battled against Cody Rhodes. Both delivered some of the best sequel matches, but all of a sudden Styles disappeared from the WWE TV for a long time. At this stage, Styles’ WWE TV return date and venue has now been revealed.

AJ Styles’ WWE return

PWInsider reported that AJ Styles will be making his WWE Television return this week on the August 09, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Styles has been away from WWE TV since his loss against Cody Rhodes at the 2024 Clash at the Castle PLE in Glasgow, Scotland.

The Phenomenal One then stepped away from live TV since then, however, represented WWE at Pro Wrestling NOAH. Styles was one of the opponents of the Japanese Legend Naomichi Marufuji’s retirement tour. Styles wrestled against Marufuji in a singles match at NOAH Destination on July 13, 2024, at the Budokan Hall in Tokyo, Japan and secured the win.

Following that Styles was a part of the WWE SuperShow in Japan from July 25th to July 27th, where he fought against Cody Rhodes in all three days for the Undisputed WWE Championship, however failed to capture the title.

After working for several off-television matches, Styles’ return could boost the SmackDown roster. Although the reports being said, there is no official announcement from WWE, regarding Styles’ return.

Well, Styles is not the only world champion to return on this week’s SmackDown. WWE has officially confirmed that Roman Reigns will be returning to the blue brand, after his SummerSlam appearance.
