CM Punk made his in-ring return against Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam 2024
CM Punk was written off from in-ring action for a long time, since Royal Rumble 2024 due to a torn tricep. However, he built his storyline against Drew McIntyre, who took him from the in-ring action causing injury. Both took the injury more personally and it was considered as one of the best feuds of the year.
Most of them wondered if they could Punk vs McIntyre at SummerSlam and it became positive, when Punk got medically cleared, two weeks before the biggest party of the summer. The match became official, but Seth Rollins appointed as the referee, had beef with both Punk & McIntyre.
At SummerSlam, Punk made his in-ring return against Drew and was close to securing his first win since his return. However, his anger towards Rollins & Drew’s low blow took the match away from him, as Drew pinned him for the win. After suffering a loss against Drew, CM Punk’s next WWE appearance date & venue have been revealed from backstage reports and here is what it says.
CM Punk’s confirmed appearances
Backstage reports reveal that CM Punk is advertised for the August 05, 2024 episode of WWE Raw at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. This is the fallout episode of SummerSlam, and Punk is expected to address his loss against Drew McIntyre on whether he is done with McIntyre or not.
Punk is also confirmed for the upcoming Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event on August 31, 2024, at the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany. This is the first ever PLE in Germany and Punk being advertised for the show raises the stakes for the event.
The advertised dates suggest that Punk could be in action at Bash in Berlin, however there is no update on the upcoming Raw appearances in the next few weeks until the German PLE. Since Punk is medically cleared to compete, we can expect him to make full-time appearances in the weekly shows. However, we need to wait and watch, until we get a clear update on Punk’s appearances for the coming weeks.
