What started in 1993 as a replacement for Prime Time Wrestling has now become a flagship program for WWE. Monday Night Raw has delivered some iconic, era-defining moments since its first episode on January 11, 1993, which aired on the USA Network.

Considered to be one of WWE’s two flagship weekly programs, the Red brand show has been broadcast live from 210 different arenas, 173 cities and towns, and twelve different nations.

Following its seven-year run with USA Network, the show moved in September 2000 to TNN, which rebranded to Spike TV in August 2003. However, in 2005, Raw returned to USA Network, and it remained until January 6, 2025, when the show moved to the streaming platform Netflix.

In January 2024, WWE announced that its flagship weekly program, WWE Raw, was sold for a ten-year deal with the world’s leading entertainment service, Netflix, for a whopping deal of more than USD 5 billion.

The debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix was officially held on January 6, 2025. The venue for the premiere show was the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. The weekly program started airing exclusively on the streaming platform at 8 PM ET, barring a few regions that have active contracts.

In India, the show, along with the rest of WWE programming, continued to air on Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI) due to an existing deal. SPNI had been the home of all WWE shows, premium live events, and specials for 23 years. However, the long-standing partnership, which began in 2002, officially came to an end in 2025.

The deal, which was made in 2020, where SPNI renewed the WWE media rights for an estimated $180-210 million over five years, expired in March 2025.

WWE RAW exclusively airs LIVE on Netflix every Tuesday from 5:30 AM IST in India. Following the transition from SPNI, all programmes, including Monday Night Raw, air only on the streaming platform.

The current time for India is adjusted according to U.S. Daylight Saving Time, which began in March 9, 2025 and will end on November 2, 2025. The timings will be updated accordingly once Daylight Saving Time ends.
