After the Bash in Berlin, WWE will be holding No Mercy
NXT is making a major debut in Denver. This year’s NXT No Mercy event returns World Wrestling Entertainment’s developing brand to Ball Arena on September 1, with all five championships on the line in the Mile High City.
While episodes of “Raw” and “SmackDown” have aired live here in the past, this is the first big WWE event to visit Colorado since July 23, 2003.
That’s when the Vengeance pay-per-view took place live from the Pepsi Center, with Kurt Angle defeating The Big Show and Brock Lesnar in a no-disqualification triple-threat match.
Andre Chase and Ridge Holland brought the gold to their university, but the former champions won the right to a rematch by defeating the Chase U B-team a few weeks ago at WWE NXT No Mercy 2024.
Choo recently assaulted Jordan and took her belt, but Jordan returned the favor and recovered the belt. Jordan overcame TNA import Rosemary, one of Choo’s henchmen, to set up this grudge match, but Choo sneaked into the ring behind her and put her to sleep with a clutch to build hype for WWE NXT No Mercy 2024.
Page attempted all he could to avoid this fight, but everyone who believed in Joe Hendry knew he’d receive the championship chance. The TNA import’s performance has translated well to the NXT, earning the outsider a shot at the championship at WWE NXT No Mercy 2024.
Hendry won a three-way No. 1 contender bout, despite Page assaulting two separate officials to prevent a pinfall. For his sins, Ava the GM appointed Trick Williams, the former NXT Champion as special guest referee for this one.
Hendry had previously guaranteed Williams a crack at the title if the Scot won, so this one is set to be a shady affair.
