The 2024 Money in the Bank is the upcoming most anticipated PLE of WWE
WWE is all set to host the 2024 Money in the Bank premium live event this Saturday (July 6, 2024) from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is the 15th Money in the Bank PLE, and the first ever Money in the Bank event to take place in Canada.
WWE has booked a total of five matches for the show including the Men’s & Women’s Money in the Bank PLE. With just hours away from the show, backstage reports reveal which match could be the main event of WWE Money in the Bank PLE this year.
Main Event of Money in the Bank 2024
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Damian Priest vs Seth Rollins match for the World Heavyweight Championship will reportedly be maineventing the Money in the Bank premium live event.
This is the only world championship match announced for the show and it carries huge anticipation, as this is the first and last chance for Seth Rollins to challenge for the world title unless Damian Priest is holding the championship.
On the other hand, if Damian Priest loses, he will no longer be a member of Judgment Day. Drew McIntyre also promised that he will be cashing in on or after the world championship match, if he wins the Men’s MITB briefcase. This will be the second time the World Heavyweight Championship is main eventing the show in 2024.
Apart from this match, WWE has booked some interesting matches for the show including, the Men’s & Women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches featuring some highly talented stars from both Raw and SmackDown brands, the Intercontinental Championship match featuring the hometown hero Sami Zayn, and the Six-Man Tag Team Match between the team of Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton & Kevin Owens vs The Bloodline.
Meltzer also noted that the Team Bloodline could probably be Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa, but he heard that Jacob Fatu could be inserted in the tag team match at the last minute.
Meltzer said, “I was told it’s probably Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Solo (Sikoa), but they could easily put in Jacob Fatu at the last minute.”
