Penta El Zero Miedo is confirmed to be heading to WWE
Mexican wrestling sensation, Penta El Zero Miedo formerly known as Pentagon Jr. has signed with the WWE following his AEW contract expiration. The Stamford-based promotion has been teasing his arrival for a few weeks.
WWE has been releasing a series of teasers, each one more revealing than the last. The latest teaser, aired during the December 30 episode of Monday Night Raw, left little doubt, as Penta’s distinctive branding made a prominent appearance, all but confirming his signing with the promotion.
Who is Penta El Zero Miedo?
Penta El Zero Miedo is a Mexican luchador enmascarado (masked professional wrestler). Penta started his pro wrestling career in 2004 and similar to many masked wrestlers in Mexico his real name is unknown.
Miedo was born on February 5, 1985, in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. The only information about his personal life is that he has a younger brother who is also a professional wrestler, best known under the ring name Rey Fenix.
Fenix is currently signed with the AEW as his contract was extended in September 2024 by AEW due to injury time. Miedo was also signed with All Elite Wrestling and his five-year tenure with the promotion ended in November 2024.
Early Wrestling Career
Penta El Zero Miedo made his debut in 2004, under the masked persona “Zaius.” His first recorded match took place on April 9, 2008, where Zaius teamed with Black Star. However, he lost to his brothers, who performed as Máscara Oriental and El Niño de Fuego.
In 2010, Pentagón Jr. joined Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide and expanded his career by competing in several different promotions. Between 2014 and 2019, he wrestled for Lucha Underground, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), Major League Wrestling (MLW), Impact Wrestling, and various independent circuits.
In 2019, Pentagón Jr. and his brother Rey Fénix signed a non-exclusive deal with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) due to their ongoing commitments to Lucha Underground.
The duo, known as the Lucha Brothers, debuted at Double or Nothing, where they lost the AAA World Tag Team Championship to The Young Bucks. However, they reclaimed the titles in a rematch organized by AAA at Verano de Escándalo.
In 2023, the Lucha Brothers began appearing for AEW’s sister promotion, Ring of Honor (ROH). Their first appearance was at Supercard of Honor on March 31, 2023.
All Elite Wrestling (2019 – 2024)
As mentioned above, Penta El Zero Miedo started his AEW career in 2019. In his five-year tenure, Miedo held the AEW World Tag Team Champion (with Rey Fenix as The Lucha Brothers) for 122 days. In 2022, he captured the AEW World Trios Champion (with PAC and Rey Fenix as Death Triangle).
Miedo was also a one-time ROH World Tag Team Champion (with Rey Fenix as The Lucha Brothers). Miedo last competed in the AEW in June where he along with Rey Fenix (The Lucha Brothers) defeated Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen).
Post AEW career
Meido last competed at the Tercer Festival De Lucha Libre JRZ – Event at the Gran Plaza Juan Gabriel in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Miedo competed under the ring name ‘Penta el 0M’ and defeated DMT Azul.
Following the confirmation by the WWE of his singing, the pro wrestling fandom is waiting for the luchador sensation to make his electrifying debut. As the Stamford-based promotion is preparing for the debut of Monday Night Raw on Netflix there is a possibility that Meido might make an appearance. Next week or not the fandom is awaiting his arrival on the biggest stage.
