Who is Zozaya? Spanish wrestler linked with WWE

Zozaya has impressed WWE with his performance in a recent tryout!

Dubbed as one of the rising stars and a potential flag-bearer for Spain in pro-wrestling, Zozaya began his career in 2018 with White Wolf Wrestling, which is based in Madrid, Spain.

He has since performed in multiple promotions, including Progress Wrestling, Pro Wrestling NOAH, Fight Factory Pro Wrestling, and Revolution Championship Wrestling (RCW), among others.

The Spanish star has partaken in a total of 193 matches and has accumulated wins 76 (39.4%) along with 115 (59.6%) losses and two draws (1.0%). The most active year for him has been 2024 so far, where he has partaken in a total of 92 matches with a win percentage of 38.0%.

Zozaya currently holds the Irish Junior Heavyweight Championship as of now, which he captured after defeating CBL, Fabio, Michael May, Omari, and Renzo Rose in a Grapple Games match on the May 16 episode of Fight Factory Pro Wrestling, which emanated from Fight Factory in Dublin, Ireland.

He has also captured the Triple W Absolute Championship twice and the LLB Tag Team Championship twice with Javier Vives as Next Level.

The Madrid native has recently impressed WWE in a recent tryout and is among a handful of talents the Stamford-based promotion is looking to sign. According to Fightful Select, WWE has “significant interest” in signing Zozaya following his performance at a recent tryout.

The report further states that any talent selected from the tryouts is expected to join WWE by September. Additionally, it also reveals that Zozoya is finishing up university in June.
