Why did Finn Balor & Dominik Mysterio turn on Judgment Day at WWE SummerSlam 2024?

The 2024 SummerSlam witnessed the end of Judgment Day

At SummerSlam 2024, Rhea Ripley challenged Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship. The love triangle already played a major role in the feud, however Dom came out with Ripley and made the world believe she is with Ripley. However, Dom betrayed Rhea and helped Liv retain the title. To make things worse, Dom kissed Liv after the match in front of Rhea, which broke her heart into pieces.

This made Damian Priest angry and he lost his mind showing his temper to fellow Judgment Day members backstage. Before the match Balor & Priest apologized to each other and sorted their problems. However, Balor popped out during Priest’s championship defense against Gunther and betrayed Priest, making him lose the title.

As both Finn Balor & Dominik Mysterio flipped the things against the Judgment Day at SummerSlam, here we explore potential reasons behind the betrayal.

3. They had enough

The terror twins Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley had full control over the Bloodline and they made the orders for the fellow Judgment Day members. The confusion over who is leader of Judgment Day always caused trouble within the group.

Finn Balor addressed the rude behavior of them on a number of occasions, especially with Damian Priest. However, it seems like they had enough of Priest and Ripley and they flipped towards Liv Morgan.

2. Long term betrayal

During the initial stages of Judgment Day, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan battled against Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley. They had a mission to end Judgment Day, however Balor and Dominik fell into the trap joining the Judgment Day. They might have joined with a plan of betrayal in their mind.

Balor could be a master manipulator between the Judgment Day, as he has been supporting Liv Morgan indirectly. He caught in a parking lot with Liv and used the hotel key card to play the game. All this seems like Balor has already had the betrayal in his mind and he waited too long to execute it.

1. Liv Morgan gave them all

While Rhea Ripley went on hiatus and Liv started admiring Dom, she gave everything for the Judgment Day, which Rhea & Dom failed to give. Priest and Dom were only concentrated on their title, however Liv made them the tag team champions, gave the love that Dominik deserves, made the clubhouse entertaining with video games and food.

However, after Rhea came back everything vanished from the clubhouse and all it remained was just an empty room. Judgment Day members might have become too comfortable with Liv than the terror duo and this might be the reason to dump them down and carry out the Judgment Day with Liv.
