WWE Crown Jewel 2024 is the upcoming sixth annual Crown Jewel PLE, which is all set to take place from the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 02, 2024. This is one of the highly anticipated PLEs, which takes place as a part of the company’s ten-year deal with Saudi Arabia.

Triple H at Bad Blood officially revealed the theme for the event and unofficially revealed two big matches for the show. Although the company is promoting the event big, it seems like fans are unhappy with the PLE. Here we take a look at why fans are unhappy with WWE Crown Jewel 2024 PLE.

Storylines get sidelined

Since both the WWE Champions and World Champions of the men’s and women’s roster will be competing against each other for the Crown Jewel title, this could sideline the ongoing storylines and rivalries of four of the top stars.

As Survivor Series is around the corner, the top tier champions getting engaged to a common title, deviate from concentrating on their business. The limited time after the PLE for Survivor Series could shorten the storytelling time and could impact the rivalry.

Reduces interest in title matches on the road

Triple H revealed the title and the poster revealed the two to match for the PLE, one month before the event’s occurrence. This spoiled the interest of the World Heavyweight Championship match between Gunther and Sami Zayn, as the winner was predictable. This spoils the interest of the title defenses, which happens on the road.

Crown Jewel title could disappear

The 2024 Crown Jewel has nothing to do with the ongoing storylines, as it pauses the ongoing rivalry just for a prize that couldn’t be defended on the line. The Crown Jewel title that the major champions of both brands compete in, won’t be carried on the waist or shoulders of the champ and the star won’t be recognized after the show. Similar to the Greatest Royal Rumble Championship, which Braun Strowman won in 2018.
