The mega match between Roman Reigns & The Rock is the perfect main event for next year’s WrestleMania 41 for many reasons.
The WWE Universe was very close to witnessing the mega-showdown between two of the biggest WWE superstars of all time and cousins, The Rock and Roman Reigns, this year at WrestleMania. However, due to Cody Rhodes‘ massive popularity, fans rejected the dream match in favor of seeing Rhodes ‘Finish The Story.’
However, with Rhodes’ achieving his dream, the path is clear for The Rock vs Roman Reigns match at next year’s WrestleMania in Las Vegas for these five reasons:
5. Culmination of New VS OG Bloodline storyline
As seen on WWE television today, Roman Reigns is in an uphill battle with Solo Sikoa and his new Bloodline. This could see The Rock being revealed as the ultimate mastermind of the group, with the final chapter of this OG vs New Bloodline storyline culminating at WrestleMania 41 with a match between Rock and Reigns and putting an end to the highly acclaimed and year-long narrative.
4. Perfect Heel vs Babyface scenario
Following Roman Reigns’ return at SummerSlam 2024, he has transitioned into a babyface with the WWE Universe cheering him on. Reigns as a babyface sets the perfect scenario for a dream match against the heelish ‘Final Boss’ persona of The Rock, with months to build this exciting storyline for WrestleMania 41.
3. Delay further can lead to no match at all
The WWE Universe is well aware of The Rock and Roman Reigns’ limited schedule. With The Rock being an integral part of the road to WrestleMania 40, he vowed to return for another storyline.
On the other hand, Reigns has also been making part-time appearances, owning to his contract and health. Therefore, should the match get delayed any further than WrestleMania 41, there might be a chance that the fans won’t witness it at all, much like many dream matches.
2. Roman Reigns & The Rock’s limited schedule
The Rock and Roman Reigns are two of the biggest WWE superstars of all time. Citing their legendary status, both men are presented as marquee attractions with limited appearances.
Therefore, WWE should take it under consideration and book the match as early as WrestleMania 41 before they get dangled into other commitments or are not able to make it due to unknown reasons.
1. Biggest Main Event of all time
Despite fans rejecting the dream match between The Rock and Roman Reigns this year, there is no doubt that it is perhaps, the biggest WrestleMania main event of all time.
Both men’s highly accomplished careers, same rich family lineage and history sets it to be the biggest match in WWE history and apt for the stage in Las Vegas to take place at WrestleMania 41.
