CM Punk & Randy Orton announced for WWE NXT!
In November 2023, WWE officially announced that WWE NXT would be moving from the USA Network to The CW Network in October 2024 for the next five years. With two months away from the big broadcast change, WWE has announced big plans to kick off The CW Era.
The Senior Vice President of WWE NXT, Shawn Michaels revealed that the NXT moving to The CW will be celebrated for two weeks on October 1, 2024, and October 8, 2024.
To make it even more special, CM Punk and Randy Orton were announced to appear in the two-week event, where Punk will be on the October 1 show in Chicago and Orton will be on the October 8 show in St. Louis. Since the two big stars are being announced for the event, here we take a look at what Punk & Orton will be doing on WWE NXT.
3. Make a big announcement
CM Punk could kick off the October 1, 2024 episode of WWE NXT from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, which is his hometown. Punk could address the WWE Universe and could make a major announcement to kick-start the show on The CW Network. Punk could announce NXT as the third main brand of the company or would announce a major match for the show.
2. Will have a match
CM Punk & Randy Orton could have their first match in WWE NXT upon their scheduled appearance. Since WWE is going head-to-head with AEW Title Tuesday, the company could plan something big to make it the most successful start for the CW era. There could be nothing better than Punk and Orton competing in a match on WWE NXT against the NXT talents.
1. Special Guest Host
Since Punk and Orton are scheduled for different nights, they could potentially be the special guest host for the NXT on the CW kick-off show. WWE has previously done the same thing with Cody Rhodes, when he appeared on the NXT brand last year, which dumped the AEW show viewership. At this stage, Punk and Orton could be the special guest host for the night to spice things up.
It would be interesting to see what the voices say to Randy Orton & what Punk will do on the show.
