Why WWE should stop booking Rey Mysterio vs The Judgement Day?

The feud between Rey Mysterio and Judgment Day dates back to 2022 which also saw a massive shocker
The onset of the feud between Rey Mysterio and the notorious stable known as Judgment Day began back in 2022. At the time, Rey was regularly teaming up with his son, Dominik Mysterio, and both father and son looked to be a formidable tag team in WWE.
Moreover, the duo even made history by becoming the first-ever real-life father-son duo to become the WWE tag team champions. However, sometime later, they became prime targets of Judgment Day, comprising Damian Priest, Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley only at the time. Interestingly, Ripley developed a particular interest in one Dominik Mysterio, constantly tormenting him for weeks.
It was finally at the 2022 WWE Clash at the Castle that Dom gave in to her advances, betrayed his father, Rey Mysterio and joined the ranks of Judgment Day. Since aligning with them, Dominik Mysterio has gone from a babyface to being one of the most hated heels of all time, which is evident each week while finding his own identity outside the shadow of his legendary father.
WWE should stop doing these match-ups for Rey Mysterio
Furthermore, this led to Dominik Mysterio becoming a menace in Rey Mysterio’s life, constantly taunting him to be a ‘deadbeat dad’, misbehaving with his entire family and making things highly personal for months. This led to the father and son squaring off against each other at WrestleMania 39, with Rey emerging victorious over his estranged son.
To keep them apart going forward, both were drafted to different brands until WrestleMania 40, when they again squared off against each other, this time in a tag team match. Now, they are set to collide in a one-on-one bout next week on RAW. However, the storyline booking to have Rey feud with Dom and The Judgment Day has been done and dusted with every possible direction to explore in the last two years.
WWE would only hamper the ongoing momentum building for Dominik’s storyline with Liv Morgan, which has attracted the interest of Finn Balor and JD McDonagh after she helped them win the tag team titles on RAW this week. Moreover, the fans have already lost interest in seeing Rey and Dominik feud or Rey going up against Judgment Day again. So it could be better if the match next week is billed to be one and done between Rey Mysterio and Judgment Day.
