Cody had a long pursuit to become the World Champion in WWE and finish his story & finally got his chance to do it at this year’s WrestleMania.

Where Cody ended Roman Reigns’s championship reign to become the Undisputed WWE Champion for the very first time. After winning the title, Cody became exclusive for the blue brand and is leading the blue brand from the front.

Cody recently defended his Undisputed WWE Championship for the very first time against AJ Styles at Backlash 2024 in Lyon, France. Where Cody successfully retained the championship in the main event of the show, receiving a great reception from the French crowd.

After the successful title defense on Backlash, will The American Nightmare show up on the fallout episode of SmackDown this week? Here we take a look at whether Cody Rhodes will appear on this week’s SmackDown.

Cody Rhodes’ status for this week’s SmackDown

According to Cody Rhodes’ May 2024 schedule, The American Nightmare is scheduled to appear on this week’s episode [May 10, 2024] of SmackDown at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. However there isn’t any official announcement from the company, what he will be doing. Since nothing is made official, Cody’s status for the live show is unknown, as he could also show up for dark matches.

Cody is scheduled for all the SmackDown events this month in the USA and Saudi Arabia. Cody is also scheduled to appear for King & Queen of the Ring in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 25, 2024.

Based on the schedule & his previous comments, it seems like Cody could be defending his Undisputed WWE Championship at King and Queen of the Ring in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Cody could build a storyline for his upcoming championship defense or could get on any storyline for the upcoming events.
