The Undisputed WWE Champion has a ladder match coming up on the horizon

Following the announcement that he will be appearing on WWE RAW, Cody Rhodes stated that he would be returning “home” tonight. Next weekend at Royal Rumble 2025, the American Nightmare will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship in a ladder match.

The champion will defend his championship against Kevin Owens at the premium live event next weekend, and the two stars have signed a contract to make the fight official at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Tomorrow’s edition of the red brand will air live from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Rhodes announced his comeback to RAW on X (formerly Twitter).

Kevin Owens attacked Cody Rhodes during the contract signing at Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, Shawn Michaels was moderating the segment, and the legend decided to go physical. The Heartbreak Kid treated Owens to a ‘Sweet Chin Music’ in front of his hometown fans in San Antonio, Texas, to a thunderous reception.

With the Royal Rumble quickly approaching, when Cody Rhodes appears on RAW on Netflix, the Rumble contestants will most likely seek to make a statement ahead of Saturday’s event, since the winner will receive a definite championship shot at WrestleMania 41.

Aside from Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre has targeted and challenged Cody Rhodes on SmackDown. Seth Rollins, meanwhile, might pursue him, especially if he makes a heel turn, and CM Punk has already called him out.

‘The Best in the World’ beat ‘The Visionary’ during the RAW debut on Netflix. Following his victory, he fired rounds at Gunther and Cody, alerting them and putting them on notice.

Following his return to WWE after a two-month absence, CM Punk has stated that he wants to be world champion again, which is why he has entered the Royal Rumble event.

If he wins the Rumble match, he will have the chance to face either Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes or World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.
